Arc: 7/42 [Continued]

April 8- Day 8B

After a couple of breaths, I finally open my eyes. I face the night time sky, with stars here and there. Suddenly, I hear a puff, and soon after, see smoke blocking my vision.

"I-," I begin to say before I'm flicked on the forehead. As I reflex, I touch my forehead, wincing in pain.

"Are you serious, you baby." I look over to see Zarith. He then chuckles as he looks at his fingers. "Though, I forgot I used to do this." He quickly glares at me. "Now get the hell off my lap."

With everything coming into realization, I quickly sit up, processing what just happened.

Zarith takes another puff, then says, "Well, you recovered at least something." He smirks.

I proceed to breathe in and out. "I-" I quickly touch my forehead, as the pain slowly but surely goes away. "I remember. Though, it seems like once again, some information was blocked out for me."

"Like what?" Zarith looks over at me.

"Those pictures I saw. I could see all the information from that Chase file, but for the other two, I can't remember their physical features, or even their names. And that's not even the most important part. What my parents were talking about. It seems like the most important part of the conversation blanked out for me," I explain.

Zarith sighs. "Well, this isn't the only time you'll regain your memories. They'll keep on happening. Until you regain every single lost memory back." He suddenly chuckles. "It's about time that happened."

I keep my eyes on Zarith, surprised about what I saw in my vision. "I did know you..," I whisper. "W-why didn't you tell me last year-"

He suddenly puts his finger up. "I told you to figure out everything yourself." He looks at me as he smirks. "Your memories will eventually come back, just be patient."

I continue to look at him before I ask, "H-how old are you really?" I pause. "I thought you would be my age, but looking into my past, you seem exactly the same..."

He looks away as he takes another puff. "I'm a Yamiren."

"Does that have to do with-"

He proceeds to get up as he says, "We're not exactly immortal. Though, the maximum age is still unknown for Yamirens. We can be killed." He turns to me. "And things such as illness can kill us. Some have managed to live past 1,000 years, while others live up to 500."

I widen my eyes, surprised about his answer. "1..... 1,000..?" I slowly repeat. "Then are you 1-"

He scoffs. "No, I'm not that old." He takes out the light from his yarke, and proceeds to walk inside the building. "Just know that I'm older than you and your friends combined." He walks inside the building as he looks at the walls and floors. "These seem quite sturdy, you think?" he mentions as he touches the walls.

Ignoring his question, I whisper, "Older than me and my friends.... combined?" I look up at him, then suddenly say, "So does that mean you're old?"

He quickly looks at me, with at first, a surprised expression, the following with a glare. "What did you say?"

His energy slightly increases as well, causing me to jolt. "Ha... never mind...," I nervously respond as I begin to walk towards the exit.
