Arc: Level C [Continued]

April 12- Day 12C

    We exchange looks for a couple of seconds before she continues. She looks down as she begins to fidget with her fingers. "You warned me but I didn't listen...."

    "You didn't," I repeat with a smirk.

    "B-but Sapphira!" she suddenly adds, getting my attention. "My higher up..... Why did she mention your name....? Desirée wondered why she wanted us to trust you. Why not a Luxarian? But now that I remember, I think I understand." After her gaze slightly drifts off of me, she quickly looks back to face me once again. "O-oh, I'm holding you back. I'll let you go n-"

    "How far are you thinking of getting involved again?" I suddenly ask.

    "I-I can help you guys. And I have the information you all need. I... I just need to wait until he gives the okay."

    I smirk. "But you need to find him first in order to do that." She sighs as she slowly nods her head. I simply let out a scoff. "Well,

    We'll see how far you're able to go," I say as I disappear into thin air.

Ken's POV

    After Kaiden noticed me in front of his house, he quickly ran out and brought us to his usual spot out on the hill.

    Standing out to the side, watching Kaiden, I suddenly feel a slight jump in energy. I slowly look over, only to notice Zarith beside me.

    "So what did you talk to Desirée about?" I ask.

    He scoffs. "Nothing you need to be worried about. How about you guys?" he momentarily look at me, then at Kaiden. "What have you two been doing?"

"He's warming up right now." Kaiden was seated on the ground, slowly breathing in the fresh air, then breathing out. "I pretty sure he learned some of these movements at school, right?"

"Well, I would image that an Elite based school would teach Elites the fundamentals of controlling their energy. And that would include breathing exercises and specific movements."

"I never went to an Elite school or class," I mention. "You taught me," I point at Kaiden, "how to do that." I pause. "And remembering those books that I've read.... helps too." I pause for a couple of seconds as I study Kaiden's movements. Looking at his aura flow as well, it's obvious that the warm up was effective. I watched as a creamy blue aura travelled from the top of his body to the bottom, then back at the top. The middle of his body is where the core is located, so that was the area that was the darkest and brightest. "Who taught you how to use your abilities? Was it your family? Or school?" I ask Zarith as I slowly look over at him.

He continued to watch Kaiden, studying his movements just as much as I have been. "Mine is..," he slowly begins to say, "a bit more complicated than that."

I was tempted to ask him to elaborate, though Kaiden suddenly springs up from the ground, bringing my attention to him. "I'm done, I'm done!" he exclaims as he looks over at me. By the time he said that, Zarith was out of sight, causing me to sigh as I walk closer to Kaiden.
