Arc: Level C [Continued]

March 20- *14 years ago* Recovered Memory

I suppose this is the last day. The last day I can use my ability. The last day I can learn more about Elites. Perhaps even the last day I remember Zarith.

I look from across by bed to the cart. I can't believe I actually managed to finish each and every book.

But for what?

It really sucks. Sucks to know that you'll be loosing something forever. Or at least for a very long time. Though, just as we promised, I'll be waiting for Zarith to help get back my memories.

Suddenly, the door buzzes open as David walks in. "Hello Ken," he says with a smile.

I attempt to smile back as well, but instead give a weak smile. "Hey...," I say quietly.

"I know you're bummed out about tomorrow, but at least let your last day be the best!" he explains as he attempts to cheer me up. I look up at him, then sigh. "Well, I have a surprise for you," he suddenly says, causing me to quickly look up.

"A-a surprise?" I exclaim, intrigued. I quickly get off my bed and run up to him.

He chuckles. "Well now you're all excited." He rubs my hair as he explains, "I'll be bringing you to FBHE."

"Oh?" I answer. "What are you gonna show me there?"

He puts his finger on his lips. "You wouldn't want me to ruin the surprise."

"Wait..," I suddenly say. "Where are we right now?"

"Oh... I never told you?" he asks as he walks towards the door.

"Well, I just assumed we are at the FBHE already since we have all of these rooms and equipment."

"I see..." I follow him through the door as we walk up the stairs. Once we reach the next floor, it seems to me that we are in a house setting. "We were in my house basement," he finally answers.

"Woah, your basement is big!" I exclaim as I look over at him.

"Yes... we had it expanded." We walk pass the kitchen and the living room until we finally reach the front door. He looks back at me with a smile. "Shelly, my wife, said hi. Unfortunately, she could not meet you today-"

"That's okay!" I say with a smile.

David suddenly chuckles as he opens the front door to head outside. "And what got you so excited?"

"You're bringing me to the FBHE. Everything about that place is quite exciting to me."

He chuckles. "I'm glad. That means this surprised will be great for you." He continues to walk outside onto the drive way as I follow him. Suddenly, a large black car with tinted windows pulls up in front of us. A man then walks out of the car from the driver's seat, and proceeds to open the door for us. David enters the passenger seat, while I enter from behind.

After about a 5 minute drive, we finally come to a stop in front of a large building. I remember going to my father's job about 2 years ago, though I'm not quite familiar with this building.
