Arc: When People Fall, the Demon Rises [Continued]
April 6- Day 6C
Eventually, the boy finally manages to calm down. He crawls towards the wall, and leans his back on it. "I'll tell you everything.... it's not like I want to hide anything anyways."
He attempts to subtlety move his hand to his ankle. I look down at it and notice a large cut.
He probably notices me looking at his scar, as he says, "As you probably already know, I've been trapped in here. And by getting my ankle slit, it makes it 10 times harder to escape from here."
"How did you get trapped in here in the first place?" Stylus asks.
"Ha," he quickly turns away, and his face seems to sadden. "I guess my own teammates betrayed me."
"Betrayed you?" Desirée suddenly exclaims.
"I'm a level D." He looks down. "As you all may already know, level Ds tend to not be the best type of people around. For today's attack, I suppose they wanted to 'prove themselves' as well to the world."
I squint my eyes. "What do you mean?"
He slowly looks up, moving his eyes from me to Stylus, Zarith, then Desirée. "There's a huge misconception about the terrorist group Percent." He takes a deep breath. "The terrorist group Percent refrain from hurting innocents. That's something Level Ds barely do."
"That's absolute bullshit," Stylus quickly interjects.
"As I said, it's a common misconception that Percent are your only enemies."
"What are you saying?" Stylus' voice shows that he's growing angry.
"Stylus," I say as an attempt to calm him down. "Let the boy finish."
"You're not seriously buying this, are yo-"
"Stylus!" I quickly cut him off as I glare at him. He slightly jolts as a response. "Let. Him. Fucking. Finish."
"Tch." He quickly turns to him and crosses his arms.
Taking a deep breath once again, the boy continues. "You know, Red Demon...." He stops for a second, as if he was debating on what he should say. "You're quite popular among other Elites. But there's one thing that I can't understand.... That I can't understand from all of you. From Level Ds, that's understandable.... but why go against Percent? They're practically fighting for Elites." I glare at him, causing him to jolt. He then sighs. "The reason why I've been trapped in this room.... was probably mostly because I wanted to leave the group. Level Ds aren't a part of the group Percent, most likely because of their unstable nature." He scoffs. "Level Ds always feel the need to prove themselves.... since we're the weakest out of all of the Elites. I suppose we'd do anything to get ourselves to be recognized. Which is probably why they joined the Level As today. Though, there is a possibility for a Level D to enter the group, Percent. As long as we're able to prove ourselves, and show that we mean no harm. But once they found out that I wanted to leave.... well, they tried their best to make sure that wouldn't happen." He then sighs.
"Wait." He slowly looks up at me. "You're saying that Percent refrains from hurting innocents. So tell me why probably more than 50 innocents were killed today?"
