“Oh ano na Dad?”
“Ano bang gusto mong malaman babe?”
“Name.” Seryoso kong sabi.
“Amanda De Vega.” De Vega? Sounds familiar.
“Age.” Iisa-isahin kita Dad.
“38” Oh, so may 2 years gap sila. 40 na si Dad eh.
“May anak? Kung oo, ilan?”
“Meron, isa lang babe.”
“Gender.”
“Male babe.” Lalaki? Yes! Gustong gusto ko magkaroon ng kapatid na lalaki eh.
“Name?” sabi ko.
“Stephen De Vega.” It’s really familiar. Whatever, tiyaka ko na aalahanin yun.
“1 month Dad. Gusto kong dito silang dalawa tumra sa loob ng isang buwan. Gusto ko silang makilala pareho. After that ibibigay ko yung desisyon ko. It’s a one month test Dad.”
“Sure, babe.”
“Akyat na po ako.” Sabi ko tyaka tumayo at tumalikod. I heard him sa yes. He must be really happy with that woman. I think I’ll like her.
Paagkadating ko sa kwarto, humiga ako. I miss that. Yung kami ni Daddy nag-uusap ng seryoso. Sana mabait talaga si Tita Amanda tiyaka yung anak niya.

“Pasok.”
“Babe.” Napabalikwas naman ako ng higa.
“Why Dad?”
“Bukas na mag-iistart yung one month test na gusto mo. Better sleep.”
“Really? Sure dad, good night.”
“Good night.”
“Wait! Don’t you ever call me babe starting tomorrow.”
“But—“ I cut him off by showing my palm to him, parang stop sign then he pouts.
“Paano na lang kung papaya nga ako, tapos kasal na kayo tapos tatawagin niyo kong “Babe”, ayokong magmukhang kirida Daddy! Sa ganda kong to?! Hindi na ako lalapitan ng hunks ko.” I said almost hysterical.
“Hahahaha! I get your point. Okay, fine.” He said while laughing softly, I can see happiness in his eyes. I’m glad about that.
“Okay, Dad. I’ll be sleeping.”
“Good night, princess.” I was shocked when he called me princess but then I smiled.
“Much better.” I said smiling. Lumabas na si Dad at ako naman humiga na para matulog.
