She woke up in a groggy state, before her alarm clock had even sounded. She quickly jumped up and walked towards the outfit she had left out for her to wear, throwing it on her body.

She rushed down the stairs, her eyes feeling heavy, to see that Conor was already loading boxes into the car.

"What are you doing up so early?"

He shrugged, "I'm just getting an early start, I'm guessing you couldn't sleep or something."

She nodded gently, "I'm just kinda nervous is all."

He shrugged, "You'll be fine."

She helped him pack away the last of the boxes and before they knew it the sun had risen and they were getting into the car.

"Goodbye mom!" She yelled, waving her hands crazily. She could feel her heart beating rapidly, the fear of her first day of college finally dawning on her.

Her mother waved and smiled back at her, beaming with pride and joy. She watched them drive away with tears in her eyes.

The drive was long and boring, making her bored as hell, but Conor tried to make it fun as possible to calm her nerves, however nothing seemed to be working.

They pulled up outside a large building. "This is your stop."

She looked at him with uncertainty and Conor gave her a small smile and helped her pull all of her boxes out of the car. "You good from here?"

She nodded shortly and he pulled her in for a tight hug, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead. "You'll be fine don't worry, I'm sure you'll fit in perfectly."

She hugged him back tightly before he slowly released her.

She looked down at the key she had been given uncertainly, apartment 46B. The old man in the Lobby had said that was where she was supposed to stay, but doubt somehow filled her anyway. That was something she always managed to do, doubt her self.

Disappointment filled her as she walked over to the elevator to find an out of order sign taped to it.

She dragged her heavy boxes up the stairs, heaving and panting as she did so. Once she made it to the fourth floor she looked at all of the room numbers. Then she took one more glance at her key to insure she was at the right place, and pushed the front door open.

The sight she was met with was not what she was expecting. Four attractive men were sitting on the couch, watching the television and eating potato chips like there was no tomorrow.

Her heart dropped, this was not part of her plan. Doubt filled her once again as she looked back at the apartment number on the door, then at her key. she continued this exchange until one of the four noticed her existence.

He stood up quickly, wiping the dust from the potato chips off of his hands and onto his jeans. She tried not to crease her nose up in disgust, although she couldn't quite manage to conceal it. Hiding her emotions was an obstacle she had yet to achieve.

"You must be Charlotte right? I'm Thomas, your roommate," he said with a small smile, extending his hand. He however, had hidden his embarrassment well.

She took it and shook it gently, taking in his appearance. His skin was tan, brown eyes, brown hair. He looked as though he was from a warm country, like Spain.

He had an extremely sharp jawline, so sharp that one could believe if they touched it they could cut their finger. His cheekbones were defined and a few strands of hair hung over his face in a scruffy manner.

She gave him a small smile, her cheeks tinting red.

Finding her ability to speak once again, she retracted her hand and let it sit awkwardly by her side. "It's nice to meet you."
