"You're seriously still not talking to me? Look I'm sorry I left you at the party!" Alfie shouted, locking the door of the shop behind her.
She rolled her eyes and checked her watch, they had closed up half an hour earlier than usual because the manager had said something about a meeting with his boss.
Alfie stayed watching her with an angry look on his face. All he was aware of was that she was mad at him, he didn't know she had gotten raped.
He grabbed her wrist tightly and kept her standing in front of him, "I said I'm fucking sorry!" He yelled in her face.
She flinched at his harshness and pushed against his chest, "Don't touch me."
"Don't be such a fucking worthless piece of shit then," He growled, pushing her back against the wall.
She looked at him with surprise, her eyebrows furrowing. Fear was clear on her face as she tried to sidestep him, wanting to be away from him as soon as she could.
The thought of another girl getting away from alfie because he had let them sickened him and he was willing to do whatever it took to make sure Charlotte couldn't walk out of his life.
"Why are you being like this?" Her voice was shaky and came out breathless.
He raised his eyebrows, "Being like what? You're treating me like shit."
His hand clutched her wrist tightly and she struggled against him, "Don't touch me!"
"Is everything okay here?" A familiar voice asked, interrupting the heated argument.
Charlotte glanced at the man and let out a sigh of relief.
Alfie glanced at the man, "Everything's fine."
He rolled his eyes, "I wasn't asking you."
Mr. Kane and her made eye contact, and she shook her head, "Actually, no, everything is not fine."
Alfie let go of her wrist as joe glared at him. He was obviously intimidated by the older mans hard look as joe gently pulled Charlotte behind him.
"Maybe you should move along," Joe growled.
Charlotte smiled lightly as alfie stood his ground but didn't dare saying anything back.
He glared at her for a moment before taking a step back, "Fine. Whatever. Have fun with a dude twice your age."
She watched as he turned away and left and she felt herself physically relax.
"Thanks for that," She said, awkwardly glancing at Joe.
He shrugged, "I'm not gonna let some jerk hurt you like that."
"Still though, I appreciate it."
He grinned at her, "Good. Do you need a ride home or are you good?"
"I think I'd rather walk. Thanks though."
He nodded gently, "You take care of yourself okay? I'll see you Monday."
She gave him a small smile before turning on her heel and beginning her jog back to the apartment.
By the time she had arrived home it was almost midnight. Alfie had really delayed her.
She walked into the apartment with a loud sigh and threw her keys into the table, not paying attention to the guys that she had to pass.
"Are you okay?" Thomas asked, standing up to follow her to her bedroom.
She ignored him and closed the door in his face. He angrily turned and walked back into the living and she got changed into some more comfortable clothes.
