Charlotte's eyes opened slowly. Her head throbbed as she raised it and she immediately moved to bring her hand up to hold it. She stared at her bound hands in confusion, suddenly becoming aware of the fact that she was sitting on a cold stone floor.

"Well, well, well. Look who decided to wake up," Alfie's voice said lowly. Charlotte jumped as she looked up at him. He was standing in the doorway, staring at her with his arms folded.

"What the hell is going on? Why am I here?" She snapped, trying to make herself stand up. She let out an audible sigh as she stared at the rope tied around her wrists. She could faintly make out some red marks that were evident underneath the rope.

"You're here because you thought you could get away. Why did you think you could get away?" He snarled, briskly walking towards her. He squatted in front of her, gripping her jaw roughly.

"What are you talking about?" She asked weakly. Although her heart was racing she tried her best to remain calm. What she was looking at was obviously a mentally unhinged man who didn't seem to care about the damage that he could be doing.

"Why did you think that you would be able to get away from me?" He repeated, turning her face towards him.

"You aren't making any sense!"

His hand quickly slapped against her cheek and she winced as she bit her tongue. The metallic taste of blood in her mouth reminded her of the days she had been beat by her father.

"Don't you dare raise your voice at me. Don't you dare."

She looked away from his hateful glare, clenching her jaw. Seeing herself with no other choice than to swallow the blood in her mouth.

"So... now you're fucking Thomas?" He questioned.

"No, I'm not doing anything like that," She cried.

Alfie's eyes darkened at her response, his face holding more anger than anyone who she had ever seen. She was afraid, she didn't want to admit it, but anyone would be in the situation she was in.

He balled his hand into a fist and swung it at her eye, knocking her body to the side. She landed on her elbow and let out a yell of pain as the shock moved through her body.

"Don't fucking lie to me! Don't you fucking dare lie!" He shouted, standing above her. "You are nothing. You have nothing. Even your little boyfriend hasn't noticed you're gone. No one cares about you."

She stared at the floor, painful breaths being drawn through her mouth, "I didn't lie. Thomas and I haven't done anything. We're just roommates."

Alfie grimaced at the sound of her voice, "Baby, you know I don't want to hurt you, but when people lie they have to be punished. If you lie to me again I will have to hurt you."

She stayed silent.

He grabbed onto the rope that bound both of her hands together and forced her to her feet. She stumbled once she was standing upright and looked around. The room was dimly lit and had bars over all of the windows. It was a cold room, made entirely out of stone. She noticed her feet had been stripped of her socks and shoes and her sweater had been removed, leaving her in only a a black string top and her denim ripped jeans.  Her belt had also been removed.

"Where are my clothes?" She asked, furrowing her eyebrows.

"I had to take away anything you could use as a weapon."

"How long are you going to keep me here?"

He tapped his chin with his index finger, "Until you begin to bore me."

"And what will you do to me after that?" She questioned. Her voice wavered slightly at the end of her sentence, making a small smirk form on his lips.

"I'll kill you."

Her heart stopped as she stared at the boy, his hand still holding onto the piece of rope.

"How about you untie me and we can just talk about things?" She asked hopefully.

His laugh boomed through the room, "Why would I do that? I can't let you go now. The first thing you'll do is call the cops on me. We don't want that to happen, so I think I'll just leave you be for now, what do you think?"

Before she could respond his hand pushed her back against the wall, knocking the air out of her lungs. She fell to the floor, heaving.

"No! Please don't leave me here!" She called as he slammed the large wooden door behind him, leaving her to listen to only the sound of her heartbeat in the empty room.

She shivered as she watched the sunset, the room becoming colder at every moment that passed.

For hours she lay on the uncomfortable floor, the silence almost driving her insane. Her mind was moving rapidly. She was sure that people were looking for her and they would come for her soon, but her mind also ventured to the possibility that she would never be found. She was afraid that she would end up dying in the cold and empty room and the hands of the unhinged man who seemed to barely understand what was happening around him.

The door creaked open and she closed her eyes, letting her head fall back against the wall.

Alfie's footsteps stopped right in front of her and she kept her eyes shut tightly. She held her body still as his hand gently moved a piece of hair from her face. She couldn't imagine what her hair looked like at the moment.

Alfie stayed silent for a moment, simply staring at her face.

Suddenly, his hand reached out and yanked at her hair, making a loud yelp erupt from her.

"Why is it that you were pretending to be asleep?" He questioned, tilting her head to a painful angle.

"I... I wasn't."

He tutted at her response, "What did I tell you about lying?"

He banged her head against the wall and she groaned, "Please stop. Okay? Just stop. I'm sorry for lying."

He looked her up and down, "I don't think you are sorry. You've got to learn a lesson Charlotte."

His fist plummeted into her stomach, making her double over in pain.

He gripped her jaw tightly, "Now, you and I are going to have some fun."
