Charlotte stared at Mr. Kane, trying to ignore the details of Preston that Lucy was supplying her with.

He had slept with her, been kind to her until they got home and then never called her back, which seemed exactly like something Preston would do.

Lucy however, wouldn't stop gushing over Preston and how good he was at having sex.

"Come on, I so do not want to hear these details," She groaned.

"Settle down back there," Mr. Kane ordered.

Charlotte gave him an apologetic glance and Lucy huffed and turned around to face him.

It was now the end of class and she sighed and stood up, carrying her books to Jordan's car.

He gave her an apologetic smile, "I can't bring you home, sorry."

"Why?" She groaned.

"I've got to work out, I did however, call Thomas."

"Ugh, why!?"

"Because he's your roommate. It took a bit of convincing but he eventually agreed to it. I must warn you, he's in a bad mood."

Charlotte rolled her eyes and walked over to Thomas's car. "Great," She mumbled to herself.

Thomas in a bad mood was a nightmare.

Charlotte hopped into the car and he rolled his eyes before she had even spoken.

"Took you long enough," He grunted.

"Sorry, I thought Jordan was bringing me home so I took my time," She apologized awkwardly.

"Well I'm bringing you home," He snapped.

"I'm aware of that now."

He clenched his jaw but kept his eyes focused on the road.

They sat in silence for a few minutes until Charlotte's stomach grumbled loudly, making her cheeks heat up with embarrassment.

Despite Thomas's bad mood he couldn't help but smile slightly at this.

"Did you eat today?" He asked, glancing at her. His voice was gruff, showing he was still grumpy.

Charlotte shook her head and played with her nails.

He sighed and took a sharp turn, making her raise her eyebrows, "Um, where are we going?"

"You're hungry, I'm bringing you to eat," He stated as if it was obvious.

She rolled her eyes at him. She didn't quite understand how he could act like an asshole while still doing something nice for her, but it was something she had gotten used to over the few months she had known him.

"I didn't bring any money," She told him after a moment.

"You wouldn't have been paying anyway."

She watched him, curiosity burning her insides. He was someone she would never be able to figure out.

"I'm not expecting-" she began.

"I'm not in the mood to argue, shut up," He snapped.

She scoffed at him, "Don't talk to me like that."

"Is that any way to talk to someone who's about to buy you food?" He growled, his fist turning white from gripping the steering wheel so tight.

"Just because you're buying me food doesn't mean you have the right to treat me like shit. I'd rather do without it, thanks though."
