"Do you have the notes from the last class?" Lucy asked, rushing up to Charlotte as Mr. Kane walked in behind her. He frowned at Lucy as he walked to the front of the room.
"Yeah, I'll send them to you later."
Lucy nodded slowly as he began to talk about different things, giving chloe a small wink when nobody was paying attention.
She laughed gently to herself as Jordan rushed in half an hour later. Attracting the attention of everyone. Mr. Kane made no comment as he took his seat, however she did notice a large bruise on the side of Jordan's face.
"The fuck happened to your face?"
He shrugged with a small smirk, Jordan was always the type of person to get into fights with people over stupid reasons, Charlotte thought that now that he was in college he would've grown out of it, but obviously not.
"I just had a little argument with a guy at a bar."
Charlotte rolled her eyes at the boy, "Speaking of injuries, what happened to your neck?"
She sighed, it had been almost three days since the incident with Dylan and she now had bruises along her neck, in the shape of a hand. No matter what she did she couldn't cover it up, no amount of makeup would hide it.
She hadn't talked to Dylan since he had hurt her, and she didn't intend to talk to him again, she didn't know how she was going to handle the situation.
"Earth to Char?"
She jumped and looked back at Jordan, "I just had an accident is all."
He furrowed his eyebrows at her, "Don't bother lying to me it's never worked before."
His voice became lower as Lucy glanced at the two of them. "Was it Dylan?"
Charlotte looked down at her lap, fiddling with her fingers awkwardly. Jordan growled lowly, "I'm going to kill that bastard."
She placed her hand on his leg, "Calm down for god sake."
"I have been friends with you my entire life, if you think I'm going to let anyone hurt you then you can think again."
She flinched as he grabbed her hand and moved it onto her own lap, keeping her hand grasped in his. "Please don't do anything," She begged.
He frowned, "You're not stopping me."
She sighed and removed her hand from his, forcing his hand back onto his own lap, "I don't want you to do anything, I'm asking you as a friend."
"And I'm telling you as your friend, no guy is gonna lay a hand on you without your permission."
Charlotte bit her lip and looked back down at her lap, hoping that her expression would make him feel guilty. "Okay fine! I won't do anything, but if you pop up with any more bruises that guy is dead."
She smirked to herself, it always worked. "Thanks for not doing anything."
He shrugged, "I said I wouldn't do it this time."
"There won't be a next time."
He mumbled something under his breath and turned back to the professor, paying attention to him instead.

She locked the door to the supermarket quickly and began her walk home.
