"Dude, it just blew up on its own!"

"So you're sure the microwave exploding had nothing to do with the fork that you left in it?"

I saw the corners of his lips twitch, "Damn, when did you become a detective?"

I rolled my eyes, a smile resting on my face. "Oh big brother, you're such an idiot."

He gave me a toothy grin, showing off his white pearls. "Don't I know it."

He picked up the microwave and threw it in the trash, quickly wiping the dirt off his hands into his jeans. I scrunched my nose up in disgust.

"So how would you feel about coming to the store to buy a microwave before mom gets back?"

I glanced back down at my phone, "No Conor, I do not, I have to finish packing."

He shrugged, "Well, I've also got to go to college tomorrow, I am only two years older than you."

"Yeah and you're already getting grey hairs."

He placed a hand on his heart, feigning offense, "Excuse me, I am twenty two years old, I have not got one single grey hair on my head."

I ignored him, now paying attention to my phone. He muttered something underneath his breath about me being rude and left the kitchen.

Judging by the sound of his car speeding off I assumed he was gone to buy a new microwave.

I went back up to my room and organized more of my boxes, throwing in random pieces of clothing and picture frames that were loitered around my room.

I came across an old t shirt, one belonging to one of my best friends, Jordan. I smirked, this was coming with me. I threw it into a box and seeing that it was now full, taped it closed.

A slight pounding in my head started, perhaps the sound of my blood pumping too fast, or maybe it was the fact that I was dehydrated, but either way I went downstairs once again.

My brother had returned, a brand new microwave in his hands. "Where does this thing plug in?"

His tone was frustrates and judging by his furrowed eyebrows I could tell he was struggling. "In the same place the other one plugged out."

I shrugged with a light smile as he turned around to glare at me, "Shit up."

He threw the plug at the microwave with a loud growl, "Stupid microwave."

"Hey, stop that."

He turned around and smiled sheepishly at me. "Do you really want to have to go and buy another microwave today?"

He pouted childishly and stomped his foot, "All I wanted was some damn noodles."

I rolled my eyes, feeling my lips tilt up into a smile. Conor May have been older than me, but he was very childish, unless we had company then he was suddenly very mature.

"Look I will make you some noodles if you bring my boxes down to the car while I do it."

Conor nodded, quickly sprinting up the stairs.

I made his noodles with ease, finding it rather satisfying . He was extremely busy though, with his job and college and his girlfriend cheating on him, it's quite funny.

After moving all of my boxes to the car he sat himself in front of me, smiling at me eagerly. I placed his noodles in front of him and handed him his fork.

"You are a star." He dug his fork into the bowl of noodles and stuffed them into his mouth. "You're a pig."

The sound of my mother walking in attracted my attention. "Why do we have a new microwave?" She pointed at the shiny black microwave that was in the former space of the white microwave.

I shrugged, "We've always had that microwave."

She rolled her eyes, continuing to root through her handbag, muttering something about us children being impossible and ridiculous.

We both smirked at each other and Conor finished up his noodles and washed his bowl.

"I'm gonna go to bed, you should too, we've got a long day ahead of us."

I nodded slowly as he pulled me in for a quick hug and we both disappeared into our befrooms.
