"That'll be $33.48," Charlotte told the customer.

The woman smiled and handed her the amount and took off. As she was the last customer in the store Charlotte smiled happily, she could finally close up and go home.

"So, that party was pretty good wasn't it?" Alfie asked over her shoulder.

She flinched involuntarily and shrugged, not wanting to talk to him about the party. She didn't want to talk to him at all.

"How did you get home?" He asked.

She sighed, "I got my roommate to pick me up."

"Right, the mean one. I'm sorry I bolted pretty early, me and some of the guys got hooked up with some white and I figured you wouldn't want to be involved in that."

"A text would've been nice," She muttered.

"I know, I'm sorry."

She rolled her eyes and locked the door as the two of them walked out of the store.

She spotted Thomas leaning against a wall immediately and walked over to him, wanting to be away from Alfie as fast as possible.

"See you tomorrow," Alfie said as she walked away from him.

The only response he got was a hard glare from Thomas, who's whole body tensed up as soon as he saw him.

"What are you doing here?" She asked as he stood taller.

He gave her an obvious look, "Walking you home."

She rolled her eyes at him as they walked into their apartment.

She was met with the sight of Jordan sitting on the couch, waiting eagerly for them to come home.

He stood up as they walked in and Charlotte froze for a moment before running into his arms. He held her tightly as she buried her head into the crook of his neck, having not realized that the one thing she needed the most was a hug from her best friend.

She wasn't sure where Thomas had gone, but he was the last thing on her mind.

Jordan kept his arms tightly wrapped around her until she felt like letting go, which didn't happen for a very long time.

"Now, young lady, would you care to tell me why you've been avoiding me and what you haven't told me?" He asked, letting himself fall back on to the couch.

She squirmed uneasily as she sat down beside him. She still hadn't told him about the abortion. It's not like she was trying to keep it a secret from him, it just felt nice that someone didn't know what was going on. Conor and Thomas were treating her differently, she didn't want Jordan to do the same.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you about this sooner, I just didn't want you to treat me differently," She told him before she began her story.

He shook his head, "I'd never do that."

She smiled gently, "I know."

She dived straight into the story of the abortion, then leading on to the story of her rape, all the while he held a look of disbelief on his face.

By the end she was crying and he had his arms wrapped securely around her again, sobbing into her shoulder.

He stroked at her hair gently, trying to comfort her the best he could.

"I'm gonna find this bastard and I'm gonna fucking kill him," He muttered furiously.

"Jordan-"

"What? It's not like the scumbag will me missed."

She shook her head, knowing he was only saying all of this out of anger.
