"I hate setting up tents," Lucy groaned, throwing the pole onto the ground in frustration.

"Come on, I'm not doing this by myself," Charlotte replied, throwing it back at her.

She angrily helped her finish setting up the tent before plopping down onto the ground.

Charlotte picked up the blow up bed and began to pump air into it, looking around at the rest of the boys who were each setting up tents with each other.

They had brought enough tents to fit two people into each, so Charlotte and Lucy were sharing as they were both girls.

Thomas and Preston were sharing, so were Darren and Conor, the older guy who she didn't know was sharing with Lucas and Dylan and Jamie were sharing.

"Preston is pretty cute, isn't he?" Lucy mumbled, watching as he helped Darren set up the tent.

Charlotte scrunched her nose up in disgust, "Preston is the most disgusting person I have ever seen."

Lucy rolled her eyes, "Even you have to admit that he's hot."

Charlotte shook her head as she pushed the mattress into the tent and began to put the bed sheets and pillows on it.

"I hate him."

Lucy frowned as she put the bags into the tent and then shrugged, "He's hot."

By the time they were all ready the sun had set and Darren and Thomas were trying to create a fire.

Jamie saw Charlotte was unoccupied and used this as a chance to talk to her.

He rushed over to her before she could make any excuses to leave.

"Hey."

She frowned, "Hey."

"Look, I know things aren't great between us, but I just want you to know that I'm so sorry for everything."

"How much money are you making for this?" She asked glaring at the ground in front of her.

"Don't do that. You know that the bet only meant something when I asked you out. When I actually got to know you I stopped it altogether."

She clapped her hands sarcastically, "Congratulations, you're a half decent human."

He rolled his eyes, "Can we just move on?"

She sighed and nodded, "I guess we kinda have to."

They stood in silence until he smiled at her, "Thanks."

Thomas walked over to the two, eyeing Jamie up and down, "Is everything okay over here?"

He stood protectively in front of Charlotte as Jamie nodded, "Yeah, it's cool."

Thomas stood this ground, his jaw clenched as he stared at the man.

Jamie scoffed and rolled his eyes, "What's your problem?"

Charlotte watched the two with unease. She knew that nothing good was going to come from this discussion.

Thomas stood almost two inches taller than Jamie, "You're my problem."

His voice was low and intimidating, making Charlotte stare at him in surprise, a shiver running down her spine.

She stepped in between the two boys and gently placed her hand on Jamie's chest to push him away.

He glanced at her hand on his heaving chest and willingly took a step back without Charlotte having to push him away.

He raised his hands in the air, "I'm not looking for a fight."
