Four years later, I'm sixteen years old and I'm a Sophomore at Buford High School. I've been getting straight A's and I haven't gotten into any trouble. Me and my mom moved to Buford and got a new house. Let's say my ma finally got her financial shit taken care of. I've been playing so much on my guitar lately and record myself playing on YouTube. I've been listening to a lot of nu metal, hard rock and grunge music. Sometimes I could concentrate on my dream of being a rapper. I've made a Soundcloud channel under the name, "Maxx Misfit." I uploaded a 6 track Ep called, "Little Scars" and three 8 track mixtapes called, "Guidance, Gospel Hell and The Summer." Most of the songs I sing are aggressive rap, emo rap, grunge, metal and r&b. I have about 170 followers. As I upload a freestyle on YouTube I couldn't figure out more words to rhyme.

"Maxx Misfit, freestyle. Gotta Get Outta Hell. Fire at my feet, friends all around. Don't cross the yellow tape. Homicide's in town. Homicide's... Homicide's in town..." my mind went blank for a second. "Why the fuck I ain't write it down? I'm late." I said as I get ready for school.

I got on the back of the school bus, put my headphones on, took of my notebook and wrote my poets down. Suddenly, Peanut who's now fifteen called me as I took my headphones out and he said, "Yo Ly, you a poet now?"

"The flyest one you know, nigga." I said.

Me and Peanut walked in the school and saw our two white friends, Stanley and Cody. They're the ones who got me into metal like Slipknot, Mastodon and Three Day Grace. Also bands like Coldplay and The Gorillaz. And I got them into Tupac Shakur. Sometimes at school, I can be a quiet person, but I can be very popular, because of my Soundcloud channel. Even though I don't get involved into sports and any other activities. Pretty much most of the kids at school heard my music. But not everyone's a fan.

"Hey, Cawthron!" yelled a football jock.

"You need some singing lesson, dude. Because' your singing sucks!" said the other jock.

"Don't listen to them dudes, man." Cody said.

"Yeah, they're real assholes." Stanley said.

"Yeah, they don't  even do their homework. They always ask the geeks to their stuff. They don't learn anything." I laughed.

We went to first period and all the kids were finding there seats and then there was a girl who had curly dirty blonde hair wearing a long grey plaid shirt. There was something about her that caught my attention, is it because she a pretty white girl or that she seem precocious. She walked up to my row to find a desk and I suggest she sit right next to me.

"You can sit here if you want." I suggested to her.

"Thanks." she smiled a little bit as she sat down next to me.

"So um... You new here?" I said.

"Yeah. I'm originally from Oregon. We move here cause of my daddy's job transfer here." she said.

"Well, Welcome to Georgia. Home of the peaches." I said as she laughed.

"I'm Alice." she introduce herself.

"Lysander. But my friends call me, Ly." I said.

"Nice to meet you Lysander." she said as we both shook hands.

"Well, listen if you need a tour, I be happy to oblige." I said.

"Thank you." she said as she smile.

Somedays, we started to talk more and get to know each other. We liked the same type of different music. We were like peaches in a pot. She told me her mother died when she was 4 from chronic illness. It was just her and her father. She was an only child. When she was 12 years old. She had to go to therapy due to fatal acts. That was something we had in common. I told her about my life. We hung out more lately. We were even study buddies. We were out at night sitting in a tree at the park.
