Chapter 16: The Best Act

TUMULOY SI BREE sa restaurant at sinundan ang waiter na nag-a-assist sa kanya papunta sa mesang pina-reserve ng kanyang makakasama. She was impressed with how posh the restaurant looked. It had a royal-like ambience with soft yellow lights from the hanging chandeliers and a twinkle of little white lights scattered on strategic places in the room. Kita sa puting mga kasangkapan kung gaano ito kamamahalin.

Hindi man mandatory, maganda na informed ukol doon si Manager Ken, kasi ito ang makakatulong sa kanya para malaman kung makakabuti ba sa career niya ang sumama kay ganito o ganyan.

No man would be that persistent just to only be your friend. Pero nung sinabi nitong Ferdinand ang apelyido ng binata, pumayag na rin siya.

She figured she would find out something about Virgo from his own cousin. Ewan kung bakit mukhang maganda na ideya iyon. Siguro para hindi nangangapa si Bree kung paano rin haharapin ang binata. Apparently, Virgo had caught her off guard way too many times.

Gusto niya naman ng leverage pagdating sa affair nila.

She didn't know why Manager Ken approved of Jordan more than Virgo too. Marahil dahil hindi ito directly involved sa pulitika.

Bree wore a sleeveless shimmery high-neck champagne dress with a skirt that reached half of her thighs, fittingly hugging them. Maayos na naka-high bun ang kanyang buhok at side swept ang kanyang buhok. Natanaw niya si Jordan na tumayo mula sa kinauupuan nito. His wavy hair had a neat style, a playful smile was on his lips as he walked toward the other chair on their table. Hindi maikakaila ni Bree na dalang-dala ni Jordan ang suot na suit na puti.

It looked semi-formal because within the white blazer was a red polo shirt, open-buttoned and a black striped scarf hanging on his shoulders.

Pinaghila siya nito ng upuan at inalalayan siya sa pag-upo.

Bree smiled graciously as she watched Jordan occupy his seat.

There was no doubt in her mind that this one is a Ferdinand. He had that air of gorgeous looks and leader-like confidence. Iyon nga lang, hindi nito matutumbasan ang dating ni Virgo.

"Hi," tutok ng mga mata nito sa kanya. "You look really stunning."

"Thank you, Jordan," matamis niyang ngiti rito.

"I've been really wanting to meet you. Pasabi pala sa manager mo na pasensya na siya kung nakukulitan siya sa akin."

Mahina siyang tumawa "Come on, it''s part of his job. He's used to it. But yes, you should spare him from all the stress, Jordan, as far as my career is concerned, gusto ko pang manatiling manager ko si Ken."
