Walking into the rec center to pick Leyanna up jordynn spotted David talking to someone, she didn't know whether or not she should speak to him, she thought the kiss felt weird, maybe it only felt weird because it wasn't Lucas but she wasn't complaining about the way his lips felt
She decided to go up to him, he spotted her and smiled finishing up talking to the lady sitting behind the counter "what's up j, picking up Leyanna early?"
"Yea, I have to go and meet the police chief to get our court dates set, hopefully we get a female police chief, they're a lil more nice when it comes to violence"
He nodded "you going alone? You need someone to come with you?" "Uhm no Mani is gonna meet me there, but thanks for the offer, uhm do you know where Leyanna is?"
"Yea she's in the pool room with some girls trying to learn with the older kids, I'll take you" he walked her to the room and opened the door seeing the older girls helping the younger girls play pool st the mini pool table
"Leyanna spotted jordynn and quickly put her stick down and ran over "him momma!" She yelled as Jordynn picked her up and kissed her forehead "hey baby, what've you been doing today?"
"Nothing, we had ice cream today, and I got sprinkles on mine" "you did? That's cool sweetie, can you go get your stuff? We're gonna go meet mani somewhere"
"Alright" jordynn day her down and she over to her stuff packing her stuff up
"She said she misses him." David told her watching Leyanna pack her bag "misses who?" Jordynn asked looking at him, he turned toward her "Lucas, she said she misses him, she wants him st her birthday party"
Jordynn sighed "I know she misses him...and I feel bad about it"
"You shouldn't. You don't need to feel bad about leaving a relationship like that, staying for the kids isn't a good reason to stay with anyone"
"You would think I would know that...it's kind of hard to understand it when that's all you've known your whole life.."
"Atleast your learning" he nudged her "bettering yourself. No more bruises, or fresh scares, or glasses to hide all of it" he said looking st her face "you noticed that?" She asked "Yea, it's kind of hard not to notice when someone comes in with a fresh purple bruise on their face and scratches, or glasses inside of a school" he chuckled "well, I don't have to do that anymore, thank god" she chuckled a bit
Leyanna came back over with her bag on and a smile on her face "I ready mommy." She said as Jordynn picked her up
"Alright, tell David bye" "bye David, see you later" "see you later Leyanna, bye jordynn" he said looking st jordynn, she smiled "bye.."
He opened the door for her and she thanked him before leaving the room and exiting the rec center "did you have fun?"
"Yea, after we had ice cream I got my makeup done again" "your makeup done?" She looked at her face as they walked down the Miami sidewalk "you don't look like you got your makeup done"
