It's been 4 weeks since the argument in the parking lot between jordynn and Lucas, that was actually the last time she has seen him, jordynn was working on getting her own place but for the time being she was staying with mani, which was cool to her because Leyanna and mania daughter, Milani were like two peas in a pod
During the 4 weeks of fuckboy freedom, jordynn went to the studio to record a song from her notebook she wrote,she didn't want to share the song, but she thought that it would be an okay song to release
With the help from David he had rick sign her to def jam records as the latest artist, people were still skeptical about her, even though most knew who jordynn was since she was dating Lucas, they saw her with anyone but him, and it became public that they were not together even though it was unconfirmed
Lucas didn't like social media buzz so he kept himself away from it along with jordynn
But dealing with def jam, she had to be on social media to boost her career.
"SIS, this song is a whole bop bro, if only Milan's father didn't block me on Instagram after I posted about his other baby momma, I would send him this song" she said pointing to her own phone as Jordynn's first recorded and first edited and first everything song was playing on her phone as her and jordynn were putting up clothes in mania guest bedroom closet, Mani was ecstatic to have her best friend staying with her
Yet didn't help her to put the clothes up, only rocking out to her song
"When did you write this song?" "A long time ago, Maybe...around the time I was pregnant with ley"
"Y'all was going through it since college?" She asked kind of surprised that she kept it from her this long
"And you didn't feel the need to tell anyone?" Jordynn shrugged looking at a couple sweatshirts before putting the up "I didn't really think anything was happening, it was slow, it was just telling me not to wear stuff and sometimes not answering my class or not letting me hang with some friends, during college. Then I told him I was pregnant and I guess it went out the window because he got worse while I was pregnant, but he was going through depression, his sister passed away and everything just went down hill..."
"Him, doing what the fuck he did to you, isn't because his sister passed away, he's just abusive, maybe some childhood shit happened, but that? No. Remember when my grandma passed away?"
Jordynn nodded at her "me and her were best friend j, and I mean best friends, I didn't turn abusive on Milan's father tho, I was even a lil more loving to him and appreciative, because when you lose someone you want to cherish everyone else around you"
"Yea well...that's obviously not how he handles grief" she said hanging the rest of the clothes up
"What time is it?" She asked mani, she paused her sing scoffing "gotta pause my song to slide up, it's 3:15, the girls are gonna be here in a minute, but don't you have work today?" She asked as jordynn pushed her shoes in the back of the closet
