"I'm happy for you, congrats" i said sitting in manis living room for the baby shower her and jay were throwing
Mani was 9 months exactly today, shook? Yea me too. Everything was good, going on tours, getting to know more of my family, hanging out with Liyah and mani more, then boom, she's pregnant with jays baby. I honestly didn't even know they were together like that.
Sitting on the couch with a untouched plate on the table in front of me leyanna pokes my shoulder
"Mommy? Are you okay?"
"Yea baby, I'm fine, why don't you go play outside with Milan and the kids" I suggested, she nodded and quickly got up with a smile running out of the house into the backyard
Was it wrong of me to feel like shit right now? I mean, I haven't felt like shit in a while, everything has been good, except for today.
Mani is having a baby.
A baby. A healthy baby, it's a girl. I'm excited that she's happy, she talks about it nonstop now, but, I don't know...sometimes I feel like, and I don't want to sound rude or selfish but sometimes I wish that was me
I know it could've been, I didn't even know if I could or couldn't have the baby, what if that was the only baby I'd be able to bring into the world? I fucked that up over passed shit.
And I know David wants kids. I feel like he's been dropping hints for a while, our relationship has been great, amazing...
"Jordynn, Come here real quick baby" david said standing in the kitchen with shooter and Chris
I got up and walked over, he wrapped an arm around me and smiled "tell these niggas that my baby still got it, they think you retiring"
"Retiring? Why?"
"Girl because no music been out out since like 1988"
Chris said laughing "I'm working on some music right now. Just wait on it."
"You probably lost ya damn voice man, sounding like a old man when he bust a nut"
I laughed at shooter as he made a weird noise, David hugged me tightly kissing my cheek
"You tryna sing sum for us? Show these niggas you know how to rock the house? Piano right over there" he pointed at manis little piano for Milan and I chuckled
"No I'm good, they'll see I still have a voice when my album comes out"
"Mhm" Chris said laughing "she probably sound like Dave when he smoke"
"Shut up man, come on baby, do a song"
I scrunched my face a little looking at all of them "do it, do it do it" shooter started, then Chris
"Alright stop it, I'll do a song, but whose gonna play the piano?"
"You are sis" Chris said laughing "Ayo! Mani! Get the kids back up in here jordynn finna sing a song for us"
"Ooh yay" she said wobbling out to get the kids
I sat at the piano and sighed, I haven't played no music in a while, I was working on music, though I didn't help with the sound very much
