"Uhm, the kids are downstairs playing with your friends..." Jordynn said quietly standing very close to David as he just watched, along with his mother and jay, watched Tai walk around the living room talking to herself and looking around
"Is she okay?" She asked quietly
"I don't know." He said not taking his eyes off of Tai
"Okay well, I'll be downstairs with them" she said rubbing his arm before heading down stairs
When the door closed Tai turned to jay, their mom, and David.
"What was that?" She asked sounding highly worried
Rolling her eyes, Dave's mom turned to David
"Why is she in your house? In this condition?"
"She was out there begging Wayno for something" "so?"
"So? I don't want my sister out there looking like that, you shouldn't either."
"I don't want her out there like that but you brought her here? To this house.." she said looking around the house
"Look I trust my sister." He said looking back st Tai to see her touching stuff and looking st everything again
"Aye uhm, Tai?"
She looked over at him running her hands through her hair "You hungry? You want something to eat?"
"Uhm, no no I'm fine, I'm fine. Is dad here?" She asked walking over
"Uh no...Tai, dad don't live in Miami. Or Florida in general."
"Girl you haven't see ya dad since you were a child"
"Julia?" Tai asked referring to David's mother, by her real name
"Yes, Tai?" She asked
"Your talking to me? Whew wow that's a first, you haven't spoken to me in years, neither have you Devon" she said continuing to walk around and look st the house
"Well like, my name ain't Devon, it's David, but imma let that slide. Listen, you sure you not hungry? Or you don't want anything? Cause I'll go get you some food"
"No no im fine, I'm just- i wanna wait till dad gets here."
Looking over at his mom and jay, David was worried about her
"Tai. You know dad didn't come and see you right?"
She turned toward him and laughed a little "David, I'm not a liar, he was here. I mean, not here in this house but he was at waynos house, they were talking, he was looking for us. But they wouldn't let me go downstairs to talk to him. He's in Miami, I know it. Maybe he's just hiding."
"Hiding from what?" Julia asked confused and annoyed at how Tai was talking all fast
"Maybe from the police, fbi, us, I don't know. But he's here I've seen him, and no I'm not crazy so don't start with that"
