Chapter 53

Tawa ng tawa si Kevin pagkatapos kung i-kuwento ang nangyari. I glared at him through the screen of my laptop. We're communicating via Skype because he's currently in Brazil.

"Bakit ka nagseselos, e hindi naman kayo?" He asked teasingly then started laughing like a defective machine.

Mas lalong namula ang aking mukha. Nag-init at pakiramdam ko puputok ang mga ugat sa aking ulo dahil naalala ko na naman ang ginawa ko kanina. After I ran away, dumiretso ako sa condo at nagkulong. I'm afraid to reach anyone in the company, I have turned off my cellphone because the last message I received was from Chrissy, asking my whereabouts.

Hindi ba't nagpaalam akong uuwi kaya bakit pa siya nagtatanong? I'm afraid it's about Stan's sports car! Malay ko ba!

"Hindi nga ako nagseselos! Stop pushing it!" I spat and palmed my face.

"Years ago, you broke his heart and now, you broke his car. What's next? His balls?" His aggrieved laugh echoed the room.

"Kevin! You are not helping!" I shouted as my eyes swung open in a distressing manner.

He can't stop laughing at mas lalo lamang akong na-stress dahil doon. Kaya nga ako nag-kuwento para mabawasan ang pressure ko pero mas lalo lamang tumataas dahil sa kaniya.

"Hindi talaga kita matutulungan kapag puso mo na mismo ang nagdedesisyon. Deny it all you want, Veil. You still love that man and you are jealous because you saw him with other girl." Nagkibit-balikat siya at ngumisi.

Mariin akong umiling at marahas na bumuga ng hangin. Of course he has a point but hell to that man! I am not going to admit it!

"Hindi ako nagseselos! I am just very strict with our Code of Ethics! At ang lalaking 'yon, napaka-arogante! Eh ano naman ngayon kung may atraso ako sa kaniya? It does not justify his actions! I'm starting to lose my apologetic feelings for him because of his attitude!" Naiirita kong utas.

"Code of Ethics my ass, baka Code of Heart? Veil kung ako ikaw, 'wag ka namang obvious. Anong gagawin mo ngayon sa sasakyan niya?" Nagtaas siya ng kilay.

Matalim ko siyang tinitigan dahil sa mga naunang sinabi niya. Naiirita ako kay Stan at iyong arkitekto niya! Naiirita ako kay Kevin dahil tinatamaan ako ng mga punto niya. At naiirita ako sa sarili ko dahil sa nararamdaman ko!

"Nobody saw that I was the one who ruined his sport car's mirror. Walang tao doon..." sigurado kong sagot.

I am very sure! No'ng kumaripas ako papunta sa aking Wrangler wala akong nakita tao! Hindi nila alam na ako!

Tinitigan ako ni Kevin pagkatapos ay umiling siya at nagsapo ng noo. Tinuro niya ako.

"Bobita ka, walang tao pero CCTV mayroon! Ano ka? Ang yaman ng kompanya niyo kaya sigurado may CCTV ro'n!" He rolled his eyes.

Umawang ang bibig ko. Oo nga pala!!!

"Oh my gosh..." I exclaimed and fanned my face using my hand.

I am very aware that there are CCTVs every corner of the company! Should I call the operator now? Oh my! I have a feeling that by now, they already know who did it!

"Ihanda mo na lang ang eksplanasyon mo bukas. Sabihin mo nagkakarate ka lang tas aksidente mong nasipa." Suhestyon ni Kevin.

Tiningnan ko siya kung nagbibiro ba ito o ano. He smirked at me and there's nothing I could do but to glare at him.
