Chapter 47
I smiled at the sound of the wedding bells reverberating around the lofty church decorated with elegant clothing and flowers.
I pursed my lips at the sight of people filling all the chairs inside the big church.
I chuckled when I saw Erick wearing his white Chinese tunic suit. He looks handsome and... nervous. His cousin, Chiv Huang, the best man is standing beside him. I stared at Erick and when he glanced at my direction, his eyes widened. He looks really nervous.
I smiled at him and he did too. He mouthed something that I didn't get. Umiling na lamang ako at tumawa. I gave him a thumbs up and he nodded.
"Those who are part of the entourage, please fix yourselves. Organize your position because the bride is here. We're going to start now!" Sigaw ng organizer sa likuran namin.
Dali dali naman kaming pumwesto. I am one of the bridesmaids so I am positioned in the middle. Sumulyap ako sa biglang tumabi sa akin. I smiled at my partner. Ngumiti rin pabalik si Denmark. He was introduced to me as one of Erick's bestfriend in college. He's one of the groomsmen.
"Haven't seen you for days." He commented and lifted his arm for me to hold.
I chuckled and held his arm loosely. I've been busy with other things and I haven't seen him since then. Ngayong araw ng kasal lang ulit.
"Well, good to see you again, Mr. Dela Peña." I shrugged.
"You look stunning by the way. I'm glad you're my partner today, Architect." He smiled boyishly.
"Everyone here today is stunning as you can see. The bride is the most beautiful woman here."
I know a bit of his reputation and I don't think he's serious though.
I hissed and rolled my eyes.
He chuckled and shook his head. "You're uptight. Erick's right, matigas ang puso mo."
I rolled my eyes and fixed my posture. I'm wearing a heels so I equaled Denmark's height.
"Remind me to smack the groom later." I said.
He didn't have the chance to act up when the first in line started marching towards the front. I plastered a smile on my face as we walk down the aisle.
I couldn't help but to be awstrucked as I watch the bride in her long flowing white gown. I smiled and glanced back at Erick. He was biting his lip, I don't know if it's to surpress his smile or he's about to tear up.
