"Noel park it in a spot or you going to daycare" I said snapping my fingers
She instantly stopped running around and sat down on her princess chair I brought her from home.
"That light fixture needs to be more centered! You see the other 6 are centered, so this one needs to be too!" I said to the workers
It had been weeks with the construction workers on this restaurant and not only were we behind schedule but they were mistakes that could be avoidable.
"AMOUR!" Talia came yelling busting in the restaurant doors
I turned around as she jumped in my arms.
"Um hey sis" i said chuckling "Where you been I haven't seen you in a couple days, it was like you went ghost"
"Oh me and my fiancé took some time off the grid" She said
"Oh okay, where you and Ty go- wait wait wait! FIANCÉ?!?" I said grabbing her hand admiring her ring
"Bitch your getting married?!!" I squealed
She nodded her head vigorously "He just came home and busted out and asked me"
I hugged her "Oh sis I'm so happy for you!!!!"
She smiled "Now I see how on cloud nine you were when Rashad proposed to you. I feel like a queen"
"As you should!" I told her "Ty loves you to the moon and back girl! I'm so happy for you and Ty Pooh!"
"Girl he's just doing all the right things. I'm finna let him put another baby in me" she joked
I laughed "You so fucking crazy"
"This place looks good" She said looking around "You're doing amazing A"
I put my hair up into a bun "Chile, it's been hard. But i know it'll have work out when it's all done"
"Yeah girl just wait till your man come home"
I smiled at the thought of Rashad coming home.
"I think imma get him another car when he come home, a welcome home gift" i said looking at her
"Ooooou What kind of car?" She said getting excited
I shrugged "I don't know yet, something hella fly"
"Car shopping!" Talia squealed "One of my favorite things to do!"
"He'll love it when he come home early" Talia said looking around
"Come home early?" I asked confused
"Did i sat early?" She chuckled nervously "I meant on time"
"Talia" I said putting my hands on my hips "What do you know?"
"Ty and Rashad is going to strangle me if I tell you" She said pleading
"I don't care. Spill it." I said folding my arms "Now"
She was silent.
"Come on T, tell me something if you know something" I begged
"Fine!" She rolled her eyes sighing "Only cause your my good sis!"
"Ok ok ok spill it" I told her
She sighed again "Ty is getting Rashad's case open again to see if they can get him home earlier. Nobody wanted to tell you because we ain't want you to get your hopes up if this fall through"
I poked my bottom lip out "I'm not, but i need to be there for all of his court dates"
"No Amour" She shook her head "Remember you know nothing about it? Just let Clay and Ty do what they doing. They'll throw you in the loop when the time is right"
I sighed sadly
"Seeeee your hopes are already up" she said
I shook my head "T I'm good. I'm just glad they are helping him"
She rubbed my back "Okay sis don't go sad puppy on me again, we all like this focused booked and busy Amour"
I smiled "Well let's remain busy then! Where we going sis?"
"Well first I figured lunch cause baby girl is starving" She said grabbing her keys rubbing her stomach
I grabbed Noel's hand and my purse "Aren't you always"
Talia scooped Noel up "Why your bad butt not in daycare?"
"I couldn't do it today" I said chuckling
Talia rolled her eyes laughing "You'll never get used to it if you don't get her in the routine to go"
"Yeah yeah yeah" i shoo'd her laughing "I'll get her going routinely"
We piled into my truck and I drove to Chick fil a. We got our food and sat down eating.
"So you know, I'm planning you a bridal shower right?" Talia said raising her eyebrows
I sighed "Talia I told you I don't want anything. The wedding is cancelled. It's bad enough i have this wedding dress sitting in my house driving my crazy"
"Amour you know he's gonna marry you as soon as he gets out. It's not cancelled it just pushed back some days"
I shook my head "I can't. I need to focus on growing these businesses and getting Rashad outta jail"
She shook her head frustrated "You are going to this bridal shower"
"T please don't make me, I just can't deal with that right now. It's sad enough we can't get married right now I don't need to be reminded of it" I told her
We sat in kind of an awkward silence as we ate.
I appreciate Talia for wanting to throw me a bridal shower and all her efforts but just thinking about the wedding makes me depressed.
