Secrets and Confessions

Jade and Owen heard what happened at school between Jace and Bella and decided to talk some sense into their lunatic friend before Charlotte knows about it. They went to Jace's house and knocked on the door.

"Hey guys, come in" Glory opened the door letting them in.

"Hi, Glory," Jade said while Owen kept staring at her as usual. Jade rolled her eyes.

Owen has had a little crush on her ever since he became friends with Jace but only Jade knows about it.

"Jace is in his room" Glory informed them and went back to continue with her work.

"Thanks, Glory," Jade said and pulled Owen towards Jace's room.

"Dude you have got to stop staring at her like that, one day she is gonna notice and it will be very awkward." Jade said.

"I can't help it Jade. She is pretty" Owen replied dreamily.

"She is way too old for you and if Jace knows about this, you are dead" Jade warned him.

"Oh really, then let us see how he will react when he knows about his best friend having a crush on his brother" Owen sassed.

"Pffttt....Whaaaat?" Jade replied avoiding eye contact.

"See, I am not the only one with secrets" Owen gave her the look.

"What secrets?" Jace asked as he came out of nowhere from behind making both of them jump with fright.

"Ahhh" Jade shrieked.

"You scared us man," Owen said holding his chest calming himself.

"Chill guys, it's just me" Jace smirked.

They gave him a friendly smile.

"Why are you standing here, come in" Jace lead them into his room.

Jace sat on his bed while Jade and Owen sat on the couch.

"Now, tell me, what secrets were you talking about?" Jace inquired curiously.

Jade and Owen looked at each other and made a mental oath not to tell Jace.

"Nothing Jace, we were just talking about stuff that's all" Owen rambled.

"Okayyy" Jace said with a suspicious look on his face. 

Jade and Owen gave him a convincing smile. He knew something was up but let it go for now.

"Kay, what's up guys?" Jace asked browsing through his phone.

Owen signaled Jade to begin. Jade cleared her throat.

"Uh, Jace?" Jade began.

"Yeah?" Jace said not looking up from his phone.

"We heard about what happened" Jade spoke carefully fearing how he would react.

Jace looked up from his phone and his face was filled with anger.

"That b*tch Bella told on me and made me get detention" Jace growled clenching his fist.

"Calm down Jace, you can't blame her, this is your mistake," Jade said.

"My mistake?" Jace stood up furiously.

"Buddy, we just want to help you" Owen tried to reason.

"Help me? Owen, she freaking lied to my girlfriend and denied it completely. How the hell is that my mistake Jade?" Jace shouted.

"Jace, everything okay in there? Glory called from downstairs.

"Everything's fine sis" Jace replied back in a very calm voice which surprised both Jade and Owen.
