Charlotte had breakfast at Norman's, "Thank you so much for the breakfast Mrs. Norman"
"You're welcome, dear. If you want you can stay for lunch too sweetheart" Lena replied.
"Oh, that's okay Mrs. Norman, I...."
"That's a great idea mom" Jace interjected with a wide grin. Charlotte rolled her eyes at him.
"Jace, why don't you help us with the laundry?" Mrs. Norman said.
"Uh yeah, sorry mom but we gotta prepare for our finals" Jace lied nonchalantly. Charlotte could see from the corner of her eye that he was winking at her.
"But didn't you say that you don't have to study for the whole weekend?" Mrs. Norman pointed out.
"Yeah, mom but I've realized that getting into a business school isn't such an easy thing and I should start taking things seriously," Jace said causing Charlotte to snap her head in his direction because those were the exact same words she told him on Friday.
She looked at him in disbelief but he held a serious expression as if he meant every word of it.
Xander was the first one to speak up, "Wow, who are you and what've you done to my brother?" he asked Jace amazed.
"Yeah, what did you do to my brother Charlotte?" Glory asked Charlotte in bewilderment.
"Boy this guy is aiming for the fucking Oscars," Charlotte thought.
"Stop it guys," Mrs. Norman said and turned to Jace, "You go and study baby" she smiled widely.
Charlotte just shook her head at how clueless they are.
Jace grinned from ear to ear, "Thanks mom, come on angel" he said taking Charlotte's hand.
"Where're you going, bro?" Xander asked him.
"To Charlotte's place so we can study," Jace said in a duh tone.
"No need Jace, I brought my books here," Charlotte said showing him her books on the couch.
Jace's face fell instantly causing Charlotte to chuckle secretly.
"I'm way more intelligent than you Norman," she thought, smirking to herself.
"Okay, let's go to my room then," Jace said heading upstairs.
"We won't disturb you, baby, you can study here," Mrs. Norman said.
Before Jace could respond, Charlotte spoke up, "Thanks, Mrs. Norman. Jace, why don't you get your books so we can get started?" she spoke in the most innocent voice.
"Sure, angel" Jace said kissing his teeth. He then brought his books and they studied all morning.
After lunch, Lena and Glory went shopping while Xander went to meet his friend. Jace closed the front door and locked it.
"Finally," he said descending his lips onto Charlotte's but she pushed him away, "No Jace, I don't have time for this," she said strictly.
"Why?" Jace asked angrily.
"Cuz I have to finish the chores my parents gave me" Charlotte replied spontaneously.
"What Chores?" Jace demanded glaring at her.
Charlotte took out a paper from her back pocket and handed it to him, "These"
Jace looked at the list. It was pretty long. After scanning through the paper from top to bottom, he looked at her, "Did your parents really ask you to do all these?" he asked suspiciously squinting his eyebrows.
