A/N: Charlotte's Dress (pic above)
The party was in full swing and almost half the school was at the party. Charlotte was having the best time of her life while the same couldn't be said about her boyfriend.
Jace was leaning on the kitchen counter, sipping his drink and watching over Charlotte like a hawk.
"Hey buddy" Owen walked up to him.
"Hey" Jace replied not taking his eyes off of his angel.
"You should stop doing that man. It looks kinda creepy"
Jace turned to face him, "What do you want Owen?" he asked annoyed.
"I....uhhh.....I.....just wanted to........uhm.......talk to you about...........uhhhhh..........."
"Dani?" Jace finished it and Owen was shocked.
"You knew!?"
Jace sighed, "Yeah"
"So, you're not mad?"
"No buddy, not at all" Jace smiled and gave him a bro hug.
After Owen left, Jace turned back but couldn't find Charlotte. He searched for her everywhere and finally found her talking to his teammates in the backyard.
Josh was intentionally brushing his arm against hers and Ryan and Nick were standing too close to her touching her occasionally but Charlotte was completely oblivious to it. Jace clenched his jaw and his body went rigid.
Jace weighed his options: He could go upstairs and get Mr. Page's gun, but he doesn't know its exact location. Or he could go for the next best thing: grab a knife from the kitchen.
"Knife it is," he said & took a knife from the kitchen drawer and began heading out.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, where do you think you are going with that thing?" Morgan, Charlotte's best friend stopped him.
Morgan
"Out of my way Morgan," Jace said tightening his grip on the knife.
"No way" she yanked the knife from his hand putting it back in the draw.
"Give it back Morgan" Jace tried to walk past her but Riley stopped him.
