Maddie is back!

Jace and Maddie went to meet Coach Barnes. The coach was in fact happy to see her back because she is one of the best shooting guards he has come across. He agreed to give her a tryout after school before practice. After that, they parted ways and went to their classes.

All-day, Jace couldn't wait for the school to be over so that he can meet Charlotte. After the last bell, Jace started to head towards his locker.

"Hey, Norman" Jace turned to see Maddie waving at him.

"What up Rooney?" Jace waved back.

"Nothing much, I was wondering if you would come with me for the tryouts," Maddie said nervously.

"Are you nervous?" Jace smirked.

"Kinda" Maddie smiled.

"Wow, Madison Rooney is nervous, that's new" Jace teased her.

"Shut up Norman" Maddie punched him in the shoulder.

"Oww, really Rooney? That hurts" Jace said angrily rubbing his shoulder.

"Oh come on, you are a black belt and you are saying that that hurt you?" Maddie sassed.

"Fair point but you being nervous is new for sure" Jace teased her again.

"Hey, I helped you when you were nervous during your tryouts" Maddie reminded him.

"True, true, okay I will come but first I have to go meet my angel," Jace said.

"Speaking offffffffffffffffffff..................." Maddie smiled widely wiggling her eyebrows.

"What?" Jace asked her confused.

"Dude, don't play coy with me" Maddie playfully punched his shoulder again.

"You have got to stop doing that Rooney" Jace said glaring at her.

"Then you have got to stop acting like you are an innocent little boy and tell me the truth," Maddie said.

"What truth?" 

"Really? Two can play at this game buddy" Maddie said placing her hands on her waist and glaring at him.

"Fine, I like her a lot but she said she wants to be just friends and nothing more" Jace admitted sadly.

"Wow, that's new" Maddie sounded amazed.

"Yeah, new" Jace scoffed.

"She sure is something if she said she wants to be just friends with you," Maddie said impressed.

"Why do people keep saying that?" Jace said frustrated.

"Cuz it's the truth buddy, I have never seen any girl turn you down before"

"Yeah whatever, I gotta go and meet my angel, bye," Jace said and left.

"Go get her Norman" Maddie yelled after him.

Jace shook his head smiling to himself.

In the meanwhile

Charlotte was excited and nervous at the same time. She couldn't concentrate on her classes the whole afternoon but kept thinking about what Jace wanted to talk to her about. She wants him to ask her out but she is confused about her own feelings because she doesn't want to become another Bella.

What if some new girl comes and Jace breaks up with her just like he did with Bella? 

After the last bell, Charlotte headed to Jace's locker still thinking. On her way, she put her books back in her locker and went to wait for Jace to come. She was leaning on his locker browsing through her phone.
