"Let's write down what we both think about secrets and then let's read them out loud" Dylan suggested, I nodded.

I began writing a few lines on my notebook when he suddenly lifted his head leaving his pen aside.

"You done?!" I asked impressed.

"Well yeah" he said smiling.

"Alright then, read it"

"Why me first?" he asked blushing.

"Well you finished first didn't you?" i laughed.

"I can wait for you" he said looking down his notes.

"Not fair, you finished first, you read it first" I said embarrassed.

"Okay fine" he reluctantly said.

He took his notes and took a deep breath, glancing at me before reading.

"Secrets form the deepest and darkest place of our soul, they determine our future." He read, looking up to me.

"Is that all?" I asked confused.

"That's all that matters" he said with a smirk.

"Uhm..." I said, scared of reading mine.

"Now what did you write?" he asked excited.

"I rather not read it out loud-"

"Is it that bad?" he laughed.

"A world without secrets would be a better world" I finally said leavig my notes down.

"Is that so? Wouldn't that be boring? I mean would you like to know everything about everyone?" he said leaning closer.

"It would be easier" I said crossing my arms over my chest.

"Would you like to know everything about me? Because I surely wouldn't want to know everything about you. Some things are better left unsaid" he said leaning again on his chair.

"But-"

"Secrets are always bad things Aria, when they're good they're called surprises and people always find out. On the other hand, secrets might always stay hidden" he said looking away.

"What about innocent secrets?" I asked concered.

"Those will eventually come out, Im talking about the dark secrets, the ones every person has" he said when the bell rang.

"Shit" I said taking the notes.

"Don't worry I have it covered" he said giving the teacher a new note he took from his notebook.

"You're not using mine?" I asked mad.

"No, you can't talk about somethig that you don't want in the world. You can't talk about death but wish to be none in the world-"

"But not having death in life would be great!" I said happy.

"No it wouldn't, don't you think we would get bored of living? not being able to rest for good? everyone deserves a real rest" he said getting up from the chair.

"Dylan!" I called out to him.

"Im running late for something, I'll see you around Aria" he said waving and leaving the classroom.

After class I walked down the halls, during the break I got together with Eric who was as always excited for some reason.

"What's up with you? you seem worried" he said looking at me.

We were hanging out by the yard, having snacks on a bench.

"What do you think about secrets Eric? do you think they're necessary in life?" I asked wondering.

"Of course they're necessary! everyone has secrets, I'd say they're like a second chance, or a third depending on how you see it" he said laughing.

"What?" I asked confused.

"If you were a prostitute in your younger days, but now you married a guy and you have a family, you kept the secret of your past from him, everyone's happy" he said looking away.

"What if he finds out for someone else? wouldn't that be worse?" I asked looking down.

"That's the risk we're all willing to take. you can either keep the secret and he won't ever find out and you'll be happy for life or you can decide to tell him and he'll dump you because he's a christian and he would never accept something like that" Eric said serious.

"That's too much, people can forgive if they're up to the truth-"

"Life without secrets would be way too easy Aria, secrets make people interesting, mysterious, different. you also learn a lot from them" he said getting up from the bench.

"Yeah..." I said not so convinced.

After class I went back home, I was looking through some stuff in my laptop when I got a message from Dylan on facebook.

[Hey did you find out why I didn't put your part in the essay?]

[Are you making fun of me Dylan?]

[Are you free next week? We need to prepare our presentation, perhaps the weekend? I'm free]

The weekend? I thought he would be busier than he really is... But...

<We could watch a movie or dinner again?>

I remembered what David said and noticed we ended up making plans for this week so I told Dylan.

[Sorry I got a date]

[A date? I didn't think you were into those things]

[Why because I'm too ugly to date?]

[You're far from ugly, I just thought since you are always trying to get the best grades and do good at school you didn't really pay attention to boys, or were interested in dating anyone for that matter]

What? did i read well? he just said i'm not ugly? focus Aria, do i really look like a boring girl who wouldn't date anyone?

[Well I can do both, so yeah I do date, so let's work on the presentation some day next week after class]

[Alright]

That was the last thing he said, I wanted to keep on going the conversation for some reason, but I didn't really know what to say, we barely knew each other after all.
