I grabbed my bag after gym class and I overheard David talking to someone in the other room.
"I really like her Tom, she's not like every girl you know?"
"But David, you could have any other girl and you want her instead? There are a few popular ones interested in you—"
"I don't care about other girls, Aria is the one I like, she's funny, interesting, I'd love to make her my girlfriend—"
A loud noise interrupted their conversation, I stepped on a locker so I quickly tried to hide but David peeked outside the room just to notice me at the exit of the girl's room.
"Aria? I thought you were already gone" David said blushing.
"Oh, n-no I always stay a little longer after gym class" I said trying not to stutter.
My heart was racing, I was trying to control my breathing so I wouldn't look so nervous but I was failing badly.
"See ya!" I quickly said leaving as fast as I could the gym.
"Do you think she heard us talking?" Tom sarcastically asked.
"I don't think so... I hope not" David said worried looking down.
The halls were empty, Cass went out with her boyfriend today and Eric had to be at home early so I was by myself, with nothing to do after class. I let out a sigh.
"Hey Aria, do you want me to drive you home?" David said from behind, already dressed up.
"David" I said blushing.
"I mean, if you want to" he said shyly smiling.
"S-sure" I nervously said.
We walked together to the parking lot, then we jumped inside David's car.
"Aria I'd love to go the movies sometime with you?" he suddenly said, before starting the car.
"Movies?" I asked looking at him.
"Yeah or maybe dinner again? What do you say?" he said with a big smile on his face.
"Oh sure" I said when he touched my hand.
"I don't want to rush things Aria, I want to get to know you better if you're interested" he said getting closer.
"I am, trust me and I don't want to rush things either" I said pulling back.
"Okay then" he said looking at the road again, this time turning the car on and driving.
We said goodbye and I went inside my home, it felt weird, whatever that was happening with David, I felt like he was falling way too fast for this and I still wasn't really into it yet. Not because of him, David is a sweetheart and he's really cute but I couldn't just be excited all the time for going out with him, is that bad?

I was walking down the halls trying to find Cass before the class began, suddenly my phone rang.
{I'm skipping school today, I don't feel really well... sorry but I swear I'll finish the project!"} 9:15 ·· Cass.-
I let out a sigh, Cass never misses school unless she's really sick, I'll have to start the project myself and then send it to her so she can finish it for next week.
I sat in the back of the classroom, Dylan sat behind me laying his back on the chair.
"Alright class, it's time to start the project, go find your group so we can start properly" the teacher said, I called her out and gave her a sign to come closer.
"Yes Aria?" she said leaning closer.
"Uhm, my partner Cassidy is sick, I'll have to start the project by myself, can I send it to her afterwards and deliver it next week?" I nicely asked, the teacher didn't seem too happy.
"Next week is the presentation, you had to finish the essay today with your partner, if Cassandra is sick I'll find some other way to evaluate her, for now you have to find another partner and do the project" the teacher said leaving.
"But everyone already has a partner" I said looking around.
"O'Brien is free, he's always free" the teacher sarcastically said sitting on her desk.
I glanced at Dylan and he had this smirk on his face, he leaned closer.
"Guess we'll have to work together then" he cheekily said.
"Fuck me" I said looking away.
"Gladly" he whispered.
"Are you serious?!" I yelled exalted.
"I'm just kidding Aria" he said letting out a sigh.
"You're a pervert" I said sitting next to him.
"Okay, what's our essay gonna be about?" he looked at me.
"What do you want to write about?" I said taking a pen to start writing.
"What about... secrets?" he lifted one eyebrow.
"Secrets? We have to do an essay, we need a cool subject" I said shaking my head.
"Secrets are a cool subject, we can write why people keep them, how bad it hurts when they popped out, how people feel whenever secrets are around, a relationship with secrets it's hard, a family with secrets is always a harsh family, we all have secrets but how we manage to keep them is what matters, it's a cool subject, at least to me" he said crossing his arms over his chest.
He's right I thought, but why would he want to write about secrets? He sure must have tons of secrets but writing about them it's definitely not something I expect from him.
"What's wrong? You don't like the subject? If you don't like it then let's pick another one—"
"I like it, but the question is, are you willing to write about your own secrets?" I said looking deep into his eyes.
"Uhm..." he said thinking.
"You know we have to put life experiences as examples in our essay" I said writting down a few sentences.
"I know, I don't mind, as I said we all have secrets and some you take them to the grave" he said smiling.
"Now that was deep, coming from you I mean" I laughed.
"We'll see when you have to write down your own" he smiled.
