Arthit's POV

Buzz. Buzz. Buzz. Buzz. Buzz.

I felt my phone vibrate against my chest inside my jacket's pocket. I pushed myself off the warm body beneath me. I looked at Kongpob sleeping, and I noticed that I drooled a bit on his shirt. How embarrassing. I rubbed my face with my hands, and I suddenly remembered my phone. So, I pulled the phone out to see that it was my boss calling.

Schooling my voice to sound awake, I quickly got up to take the call.

Arthit: Hello Dan.

Dan: Arthit, are you on your way? We need to meet in 30 minutes with the client. I thought I would just give you a reminder.

Arthit: Yes, I'm on the way.

Dan: Good. I will see you there.

I hung up, and cursed myself. Shit. Shit. Shit. I don't have time to change or fix myself. I turned around, and saw Kongpob still sleeping. I wondered how much did we drink last night. How did I end up sleeping on him like that? Well, I don't have time to ponder about it now.

I took a piece of random paper and a pen to write Kongpob a quick message.

Kongpob,

I need to go. Talk to you later.

Arthit

I looked at him sleeping peacefully, and I had the urge to give him a kiss. I quickly shook that thought out of my mind. I opened the door to leave, but ran into the solid hard back of Thak right in front of the door. I stumbled back a little, and he turned to face me.

Thak: Good morning Arthit.

Arthit: Good morning Thak. I have to go into work early today. So, I'm leaving now. Kongpob is still sleeping inside.

Thak: No problem sir. I will take care of Mr. Suthilak. Luke is outside, so he can give you a quick ride. I will tell him to meet you in the front.

Arthit: That would be great. Thank you Thak. I really have to get going.

I walked half running to the front entrance that is now completely empty of all the cars that were there last night. I see Luke's car pull up to the front. I quickly hopped in the passenger seat. I think he's a little surprised that I didn't sit in the back, but he didn't say anything.

Luke: Good morning Mr. Ronajpat.

Arthit: Good morning Luke. Thank you for driving me to the office.

Luke: You're welcome sir.

I tried to fix my hair and clothes as much as possible. I have a toothbrush and toothpaste in the office that I occasionally use after lunch, and I'm so glad for it now. I'm sure my breath reeks of alcohol right now. I removed the accessories that Kongpob insisted I wore yesterday, and tried my best to look composed.

I jumped out of the car as soon as we reached the office building. I didn't even remember to properly bid Luke goodbye before I left him. Luckily, the office is not that far from Siam Paragon.

By the time I freshened up, and walked into the conference room, I only had three minutes to spare.

After the meeting, it was concluded that I needed to go to Tokyo for a meeting that John was supposed to go to. Somehow, John's dog ate his passport, and he can't get a replacement in time for the meeting tomorrow. So, I need to catch a flight today to make it to the meeting tomorrow morning. Dan has even promised me that he would double my bonus if we get the job. John was shooting daggers at me the whole time. I just smirked at him knowing all this is killing him.

I quickly left the office, and grabbed a taxi to head back to Kongpob's house to pack a few things for Tokyo. I am expected to stay till Friday with consecutive meetings. Hopefully, I will make it back in time to sign the lease for the new apartment.

As I sat in the taxi, I started to notice the headache that I've been able to ignore up until now because of the adrenaline that was coursing through my body this morning. I closed my eyes, and I started to wonder if Kongpob is okay?

Then flashes of last night's activities come to mind. I remembered Kongpob on the runway. I remembered him flirting with all those models. I sigh, and pull out my phone to see the few pictures I took of him on the runway.

Then I remembered the lady that was chasing me all night. I remembered how Kongpob tricked her to go wait for him. I was so relieved that he wasn't really going to meet up with her. I remembered Kongpob holding my hand. Just thinking about it, brings a small smile on my face. He took me to his changing room to hide and eat instead of mingling with with others.

I even tried tequila for the first time. What else happened? Why does it I feel like I'm missing something? I can't believe I drank so much. Ugh, my headache is getting worse.

When I reached Kongpob's home, I quickly went into the house. As I opened the door with the spare key Kongpob had given me, two women that were cleaning turned around to greet me. Then one of them stepped forward to speak to me.

"Hello sir. Can we help you? Are you the guest here?"

"Uh, yes. I'm staying in the guest room. My name is Arthit."

The two women bow to me, and I awkwardly bow back.

"I just came back to pack a few things. I won't bother you guys."

"It's no bother. Please let us know if you need anything."

"Thanks. I'm going to go pack now."

I quickly went to pack my things. My flight is at 4pm, and it's almost 1pm now. So, I need to get to the airport soon.

After I checked in for my flight, I finally remembered that I should probably let Kongpob know that I'm leaving for a few days. I searched around for my spare phone that Kongpob had lent me, and I suddenly remembered that I had put it down on the nightstand. I didn't program his or Thak's number in my own phone as I had the other one with me the whole time.

Fuck. Why am I such an idiot? I pulled out my phone to look up KPS Company. I was transferred three times before I reached Kongpob's secretary Neen. The reception is not the greatest. There's static in the background, but I didn't want to hang up and call again.

"Good afternoon, this is Mr. Suthilak's office. Neen speaking. How may I help you?"

"Good afternoon Neen. My name is Arthit Ronajpat. I am leaving for a business trip to Tokyo. I won't be back until Friday. Can you please tell Mr. Suthilak that?"

What Neen heard...

"Good afternoon Neen. My name is shshshshsh Ronshshshsh. I am leaving for shshshshsh Tokyo. I won't be back shshshsh. Shshsh you shshshsh tell Mr. Suthilak that."

"Okay sir. I will tell Mr. Suthilak."

"Thank you Neen. Goodbye."

"Goodbye."

There. At least I didn't leave without saying anything. I hope Kongpob's hangover isn't as bad as mine. I just remembered how I slept on top of him all night, and as embarrassing as it was, I also feel a pang in my chest. I take a deep sigh. I don't really know what to do. I think I have fallen for him, and that's not good.

I don't know how did I let this happen when I know it's impossible. Last night watching him flirt with all those women, being the bachelor that he is was torturous. So much of me wanted to just take him home where it's just the two of us.

Maybe it's a good thing that I have to go to Tokyo. It will give me some time and space away from him. I can think clearer. Kongpob has become a good friend that I want to keep. I just need to stop romanticizing everything about him.

He is just a regular guy.

A regular nice guy.

A regular nice and hot guy.

A guy that I wish is mine.

Stop Arthit. Stop.

PA: "Thank you for choosing ANA Airlines. We will now begin boarding NH807...."

Boarding has started. Tokyo, here I come.
