"So you've checked on his work history and credentials. What do you think?" Kongpob asked M.

"This Knot guy is very hard working. He has barely taken a vacation in the past six years. My sources say he has played a key role in many of his company's projects. However, I've noticed his salary is well below industry average, and he hasn't been promoted in the last four years despite solid performance. I'm surprised that a guy of his caliber hasn't looked for a more prestigious company."

Kongpob studies the resume in his hand. "I'm not familiar with Unique Engineer Ltd. What kind of projects have they done?"

"It's actually a pretty small company. They've mostly done small scale projects such as local parks and small property developments. You wouldn't know them. So what exactly did you want with this information?" M said crossing his arms over his chest as he leaned back in his chair across from Kongpob.

"Hmm....give Tony at Maenya Engineers a call. See if they are looking to hire another engineer. Tell him I recommend Knot Ittikorn." Kongpob says as he hands Knot's file back to M.

M slyly eyes his best friend. "Kong, are you interested in another man already?"

Kongpob grabs a handful of pens from the pen holder, and throws them at M, and the latter blocks them with Knot's folder.

"Hey! It's a fair assumption. You've never meddled in other people's business before." M puts the folder down seeing the pen holder was now empty.

"He is Arthit's best friend, and he is going through some tough times. I'm just trying to help if I can. I don't want Arthit to worry about him."

M smiled. His best friend is a goner.

"So, why don't I call Dan from BKK Engineers? I'm sure I can pull some strings. That way your boyfriend and his best friend can work together. I'm brilliant, aren't I?" M smiled smugly.

"No. I don't want Arthit, or Knot to know I'm involved in anyway. I don't want them to feel like they owe me anything. And I definitely don't want Knot to think I take pity on him. Besides, I'm only recommending Knot to Maenya, I'm not telling them they have to hire him."

"Well, a recommendation from you is pretty much an order, don't you think?" M raised an eyebrow at Kongpob.

"Just do it, would you? And make sure they don't tell Knot that I recommended him." Kongpob turned to focus on his computer, clearly dismissing M. So, M shook his head, and got to work.

Kongpob knows that what M said is true. He knows Maenya will most likely hire Knot if he recommends him. They are actually directly hired by Suth Enterprise for the SuSus Project, so they will most likely try to please him. While Arthit's company is only subcontracted by their contractor. But the main goal is to help Knot, and that's all that matters.

Now, back to what's important. Nina pointed it out to him last week that Arthit and his one month anniversary was coming up. Being so busy, he didn't even keep track of such things. However, when he saw how Arthit shyly smiled about it, he knew he should do something to celebrate it. Since Kongpob hasn't dated for so long, he didn't know what date should be considered their first. So he called Nina to ask if their first date in Kobe counted, or the day Arthit agreed to be his boyfriend counted.

Nina had a field day laughing at how cute and sweet Kongpob was being. After much teasing, Kongpob hung up on his annoying aunt.

Kongpob wanted to do something fun, yet somewhat romantic with Arthit. So he made a few calls, and got everything arranged.

He has to travel for work next week, so it would be nice to spend some time with Arthit before going too. He had pushed the meeting in Shanghai as far as possible already. He was actually even hoping that he can just send M to Shanghai, but the CEO of HWA Industries invited him for a golf outing. So, he can't get out of that unless he wants to come across as disinterested in their future partnerships.
