"Arthit, will you be staying? I have an early flight tomorrow morning, so I won't be able to stay. I'm going to Shanghai in place of Kongpob. If you can't, I will call Sachi to come over." Sonya asked Arthit.

"No. Arthit is busy. He shouldn't be here. Don't call anyone. No one needs to stay. I'm fine." Kongpob said with his eyes closed to keep the light out.

"I could stay. I want to stay. Don't worry." Arthit quickly came closer to Sonya.

Sonya gave her son one more kiss on the cheek, and then looked at Arthit. She gave Arthit's arm a squeeze, and sighed before stepping aside. There's not much she can do. They need to work things out, and hopefully soon. Thank goodness this accident it's not too serious.

"Arthit, can you call Nina to inform her of Kongpob's status after I leave. I don't want to deal with her screaming and squealing. Also, don't let her crush my son." Sonya said as she puts on her jacket, and headed for the door.

"Sure. I'll give her a call." Arthit agreed with a soft smile.

"Okay. Son, I will check on you tomorrow  before I leave. Please be careful, and get some rest. I will be back as soon as possible. Goodnight you two." Sonya said leaving the lovers to their quarrel.

"Goodnight." Arthit replied.

"Goodnight mother."

Arthit walked closer to Kongpob once Sonya left the room.

"Kongpob, do you need anything. Do you want some water? Are you hungry?"

"No. I'm not thirsty or hungry. I'm too nauseous to stomach anything. You really don't need to stay. I'll be fine."

"But I want to stay. I want to help you." Arthit looked down. He knew Kongpob was upset with him.

"You don't need my help, and I don't need yours. We don't need each other." Kongpob said exactly what he felt.

"Kongpob, please. I'm sorry. Don't push me away."

"Am I really the one doing the pushing? You know what? I can't. My head hurts too much for this." Kongpob's head is throbbing. The last thing he needs is to start crying. How pathetic would that be?

"Kongpob, no. I know I'm stupid for not letting you help me. But can you understand what it feels like to be me? It's like, you walk into my life, and suddenly you fix everything for me. I feel so useless. You even offered to practically support my mother and sister. It's not like we're ever getting married. They are not your problems."

Shit. Where did that come from? Arthit didn't know why he blurted that last part out. Although, he does feel like there's some truth to that. Knot had all but inherited Neem's mother's medical bills since they've gotten married. Not that Knot ever complained.

"Aren't we boyfriends? Shouldn't we help each other? Should I feel useless if I let you help me? You know, since I'm am invalid right now? Oh, and you don't want my help because we're not married. Am I getting this right?" Kongpob has finally opened his eyes seething with frustration. Even though he can't really see Arthit's face, he can make out his shadow next to him.

"That's not what I'm saying. Just forget the last part. Okay?" Arthit leaned closer, and tugged the sleeve of Kongpob's hospital gown.

"No. I want Out if you already have one foot out the door. If you are never going to marry me, then what's the point of all of this. You should just go. I need to get some rest."

Kongpob closed his eyes again. He doesn't even know what he is really saying. Marriage really hasn't even crossed his mind, but that's only because they are still so early in their relationship. However, hearing Arthit already rejecting the notion of marriage pisses him off. Isn't finding a lifetime partner the end goal in having a relationship? It might not mean marriage for some people, but it definitely does for him. He has more than enough to juggle in his life already. He really doesn't have time for heartbreaks, and tears. Why wait to end it later when he falls even deeper?
