Kongpob had felt something off with Arthit, but he didn't know what. He wanted to just talk to Arthit to make sure everything was all right. When he had asked in the hospital, Arthit kept saying everything was fine, and there's nothing to worry about.

Now, that he was home, he wanted to bring it up again. Kongpob felt he needed to be proactive with Arthit. His boyfriend wasn't exactly forthcoming with information, and especially with life problems.

"Arthit, how is work?" Kongpob asked as Arthit removed his shirt.

"Oh, I quit." Arthit placed the soiled shirt down, and unraveled the clean one.

Kongpob waited for Arthit to elaborate the situation. He looked at his boyfriend busying himself silently. After a few more seconds, he broke the silence.

"And? Aren't you going to tell me more?" Kongpob asked impatiently. Thank God he wasn't holding his breath. Kongpob raised his arms for Arthit to slip the clean shirt over him.

"There's nothing to tell. I just want a change of scenery." Arthit laced his arms underneath Kongpob's arms to lift him up.

Kongpob instead pushed him away. "Arthit, what is really going on? Why does it feel like I'm pulling teeth with you? I know you love your job, and you're so good at it. Why?"

There's so much they needed to talk about. Kongpob really wasn't expecting Arthit to say he had quit. He really was hoping Arthit's odd mood was nothing, and they can move on to discuss what to do about Arthit's father. They can't let that man continue to terrorize his family. Just last week, Arthit's father made an appearance at their office building. He was trying to find Arthit of course. Luckily, he couldn't get through security. However, more fires keep coming.

"It's just a job. I will find another one. I've been looking online, and I've applied to a few places already." Arthit picked up Kongpob's soiled shirt, and walked into the closet to dump it in the laundry basket. He needed to buy some time. He didn't like how Kongpob was scowling at him. The pressure was too much.

"No. That's not the point. I want to know why the sudden need for a change. Did something happen? Was it because of me? Because you took too much time off. Why don't you talk to me?" Kongpob pushed his wheelchair towards the walk-in closet. Arthit can run, but he can't hide forever in the closet now.

Arthit sat on the bench inside the closet. He didn't turn to face Kongpob at the doorway.

"Sonya bought the company. That's why they have been so accommodating to me. At first, I thought Dan was such an understanding boss, but it turned out to be orders from the new big wig. Get this, I didn't even know our company had a change of hands." Arthit leaned back with his arms behind him.

Kongpob was silent for a moment. His mother buying BKK Engineers was news to him. Not once has she mentioned this in the past two weeks. Then again, she doesn't exactly tell him everything she does with her own companies. The keyword being, it's her OWN business. However, Kongpob is sure he is more or less the reason for her sudden interest in buying BKK Engineers. He is going to have to have a serious talk with his mother.

"So, how did you find out then?"

"I was called into a meeting last week with no agenda. At first, I was nervous thinking something was wrong with my work, but I was ready to defend myself. I knew I had everything covered. So, I really didn't know what to expect. When I stepped into the conference room, I saw Sonya sitting at the head of the table.

I greeted everyone, and then Dan introduced Sonya as the new owner, or biggest shareholder of BKK Engineers. I was shocked. I sat there not knowing what it had all meant. I listened to Dan go over all the on hand projects, and the latest prospective jobs BKK was bidding on. Then he went over the whole list of prominent employees, and their roles in the company. I was kind of lost for my reason of being called. Then, all the sudden Sonya's assistant placed a document in front of me.
