"Do you want to meet by mother and sister?" Arthit asked holding his breath.

Arthit really doesn't know if there's really going to be a better time to meet his family. At least half his family. Things just keep happening. Maybe it's time. Kongpob has already seen the worst of him. So, what does he have to lose? Krystal has also asked many times how did he suddenly afford the house they are staying in, and the nurse that's been watching their mother. She is worried about Arthit. She is afraid Arthit is doing something illegal, or mixing in with the wrong crowd.

"I don't think I'm going to make a good impression right now. I want to be perfect for you." Kongpob said patting his left knee.

How does this man keep saying these things? Kongpob not only believes in him, cares about him, he even wants to be perfect for him. His heart was so full, it was threatening to spill.

Arthit leaned his head on the side of Kongpob's arm.

"You are more than perfect." Arthit said softly.

Kongpob ruffled Arthit's hair, and snuggled his nose in his hair. "How about when I get my cast off? That way I can at least wear some decent pants."

Arthit nodded. He can wait. He can wait as long as it takes. As long as it's Kongpob at the end. Maybe his mother will also be better by then. His mother has made improvements since the nurse arrived. She has started eating and drinking again on her own. She still has nightmares, but with sleeping aid it has gotten better. However, sometimes she still misses her husband, and begs to go back. Arthit just can't understand how she can still love the man that hurts her.

"Arthit, I actually want to meet your dad. And the sooner the better. But I would still like to have my cast off first."

Arthit looked up frowning. "What? Why?"

"I can't risk him hurting you, or anyone else again. You don't know this, but he went to our office building trying to find you last week. I cannot imagine what would have happened if he did find you. The scene he would have caused, and the damage. Most importantly, what if he had hurt you again." Kongpob said looking into Arthit's eyes.

Arthit shook his head. He doesn't want Kongpob to face his father. He doesn't want Kongpob to hear those horrible disgusting venomous words that his so-called father uses. Especially not in public. If anything, he needs to shield Kongpob from such ugliness. His own father calling him a faggot was hurtful enough. He can't stomach his dad calling Kongpob that.

"No. I don't want you to ever talk to that man. He is nobody to me. Please don't try to fix everything. Not everything, or everyone can be fixed. Let us live our lives free of him." Arthit stood up trying to calm himself.

"That's the problem. He will not stop disturbing your mother, or our lives. We need a solution. We can't run from him." Kongpob held Arthit's hand.

Arthit walked behind Kongpob's wheelchair, and spun the wheelchair around to get out of the closet. He didn't say anything. He proceeded to help Kongpob change his pants, and get into bed.

Kongpob knew Arthit had found truth in what he had said, and he needed time to think. So, he stayed quiet as Arthit laid next to him with his arm draped across his chest. It's been two weeks since they've been able to comfortably lay in the same bed.

"Do you have a plan?" Arthit asked.

"I will give him two options. Option one, he goes to a rehab center outside of Tokyo, and kick his alcohol addiction. After that, he takes anger management. If he gets better, then you and your sister can decide if you want to let him see your mother again. Option two, I dump his body in the ocean to feed the sharks." Kongpob said as he gently moved his hand up and down Arthit's arm.

"And you think he would just listen to you, and go to Japan?"

"I'm Kongpob Suthilak. I'm very convincing." Kongpob said smugly.

Arthit rolled his eyes, but he internally agreed. There's not much Kongpob can't do. "Well, I don't want to see him again."

"You won't have to. I will take care of everything." Kongpob squeezed Arthit's hand that was drawing circles on his chest.

"You know, he doesn't deserve this chance." Arthit buried his face into Kongpob's neck. He still needs to help Kongpob shower to get rid of the hospital stench.

"No he doesn't. But my baby deserves peace."

Kongpob's stomach growled, and Arthit laughed.

"Okay. My baby deserves French Toast." Arthit quickly got up to go make Kongpob's favorite breakfast for dinner.

First things first, he has to feed his man.

After staying home for a week, Kongpob begged Arthit to let him go into work. At first, Arthit had Sonya on his side, but soon Sonya caved to her son's puppy eyes. Arthit didn't stand a chance alone against Kongpob's pout. Even withholding French Toast didn't work. So, Arthit finally gave in. However, Kongpob conceded to no overtime, and no out of office meetings. Traveling was also an absolute no.

Although Arthit wouldn't admit it, he was actually happy to go to work and get off work with Kongpob. It gave him a sense of normalcy. He has gone up to Kongpob's office to check on him twice pretending to be a client the first week Kongpob returned to work.

Arthit had found Kongpob's receptionist Katy overly friendly. She kept offering him drinks over and over again while other guests got nothing, but water. The first time when she walked Arthit to Kongpob's office, she was sticking so close to him that her shoulder kept brushing his arm. Alexa noticed right away, and the second time Arthit visited, she personally escorted Arthit. Only M and Alexa from KPS know the true nature of Kongpob and Arthit's relationship.

Kongpob was happy Arthit came to visit him during work hours. To him, it's almost like Arthit is slowly getting used to letting people see them together, but not really. However, after two visits Arthit had stopped coming.

After going back and forth with himself on whether he should take Sonya's offer or not, Kongpob told him to just quit. He can just stay home and make French Toasts everyday. And of course, Arthit stomped of Kongpob's foot for saying something so ridiculous. And that was all it took for Arthit to take a chance.

Ever since Arthit had taken Sonya's offer, he has gotten exponentially busier. Arthit had to familiarize himself with all sectors of the business, and meet all the key personnel involved. He was no longer just a project manager where he was only responsible for his own projects. Now, he was responsible for everyone in the company. He needed to understand the financial standing of the company, and challenges they were facing.

Arthit hired Knot to replace his previous position. He needed someone good and trustworthy to replace him. Knot was the perfect candidate. Arthit really wanted to get rid of John, but despite John's shitty asshole behavior, his work was solid. So, Arthit decided to let it go for the greater good of the company. And ever since he became CEO, of course John did a complete 180. Arthit can still remember how John's jaw dropped to the floor when he was introduced as the new CEO of BKK Engineers.

Time really flies when you're so busy trying to keep your head above water. In a blink of an eye, Kongpob will have his cast removed by tomorrow. Kongpob was healing much faster than expected. The man still exercised daily. Not that Arthit's complaining. He loved Kongpob's solid pecs. Even Kongpob's doctor was impressed by his rapid recovery.

Arthit is planning to go to the doctor's appointment with him tomorrow, and he can't wait to see that clunky thing get removed. Hopefully, after removing the cast, Kongpob's mood would be good enough to stomach the news Arthit needs to break to him.
