Thak was outside the tarmac waiting for them when they landed. He helped the men load their baggage in the limo, and drove them home.
Thak: Welcome back gentlemen.
Kongpob: Thank you Thak.
Arthit: Thank you Thak.
Kongpob: Is everything okay at home? How is Sachi?
Thak: Yes sir. I believe so. As for Sachi, you will know soon enough.
Kongpob nods as he adjusted himself in his seat. Thinking to himself, will it kill that man to talk about his wife for once. He laid his hand to the side sitting back. Then suddenly he was surprised to feel Arthit's hand grabbing his. Arthit was sitting far off to the other side of the car. He looked to Arthit, and Arthit looked back at him with a smile.
Kongpob pressed the privacy button, and the screen between the driver and passenger went up. He pulled Arthit's hand to pull the man closer, and without further ado, Arthit's lips met his.
Kongpob cupped his other hand on Arthit's face. They shared a passionate kiss before releasing each other. Staring into each other's eyes. Only now did the unspoken gloomy feeling was lifted from Kongpob's chest. He doesn't even know when Arthit started to affect him so much.
"Kongpob, you really like doing that don't you?" Arthit said smiling as he pulled away.
"Arthit, do you have to leave? Can't you stay?" Kongpob asked.
"Kongpob, what are you talking about?" Arthit asked raising an eyebrow at Kongpob.
"I mean, you moving out? Why do you want to move out?" Kongpob asked trying hard not to sound desperate.
"I just thought you liked your privacy. And you've already helped me a lot. I shouldn't overstay my welcome." Arthit answered honestly.
"I do like my privacy, but I like sharing my privacy with you."
"Kongpob, I've never lived alone. Maybe this is a good opportunity for me to be independent. My last relationship was bad long before it ended, but I still stayed because I was too afraid to face the world on my own. So, maybe now is a time for me to try and stand on my own feet. Also, I don't know what this really is between us. I'm willing to give it a try, but I don't want to rush things."
"Fine. If that's what you really want, then you know I will respect your decision." Kongpob conceded.
"Thank you." Arthit smiled.
Kongpob weakly returned the smile, and turned to look out the window. To say he was disappointed would be an understatement. He felt he has done what he can already. He knows what Arthit said was reasonable, and he too thought that he didn't want to rush into anything. However, that was before they were both certain that they liked each other. If last night was anything to go by, then they are more than interested in each other. Why is Arthit so adamant about living alone?
Then another thought came to him, he would have to part with Popeye. Just when he was so excited to surprise Arthit with Popeye waiting for them at home. He was really looking forward to having both of them in his daily life. But now, he will have to say goodbye to the little guy already.
When they reached home, Kongpob tried his best to push all his negative thoughts aside. He will just have to deal with the situation. Maybe one day Arthit will be ready to move in with him. Kongpob internally sighed. The one time he throws himself out there, he gets all battered and bruised. Only Arthit can do this to him. And they say women are complicated, try a man, specifically a man named 'Arthit Ronajpat.' That man is hot, cold, and everything in between.
