Holly, Dean, and Sam were given red uniform jackets and a tool to pick up trash. Sam went off one way, and Holly and Dean remained semi-close.

Dean's phone rang and he picked it up as he motioned for Holly to near him. He bent down slightly so she could hear. "Hello?"

"Hey, man. Is Holly there?"

"Yeah, she's here. What's the matter? You sound like you just saw a clown."

"Very funny. Skeleton, actually."

"Like a real human skeleton?" Holly asked.

"In the funhouse. Listen, I was thinking. What if the spirit isn't attached to a cursed object, what if it's attached to its own remains?"

"Did the bones give off EMF?" Dean questioned.

"Well, no, but..."

"We should check it out anyway. We're heading to you."

He hung up and was stopped by the blind man. "What are you doing here, kid?"

"I'm...I was just sweeping."

"Bull. And what were you two talking about? Skeletons? What's EMF?"

"Dude, your blind man hearing is out of control."

"We're a tight-knit group. We don't like outsiders. We take care of our own problems."

"We got a problem?" Dean asked with a frown.

"You tell me. You two are the ones talking about human bones."

Holly smiled. "Do you believe in ghosts, sir?"

"What?"

"Just curious. My brothers and I are writing a book about them."

The duo managed to escape the blind man and made their way to Sam. He frowned at them. "What took you so long?"

"Long story." Dean muttered.

A little girl pointed at something and cried, "Mommy, look at the clown!"

The siblings looked to where the little girl was pointing and saw nothing. "Come on, sweetie, come on." The girl's mother said.

They shared a look, knowing something was up.

That night, they made their way to the family's home to stake it out.

Sam frowned at his siblings. "Dean, Holly, I cannot believe you told Papazian about the homicidal phantom clown."

Dean turned to Sam. "I told him an urban legend about a homicidal phantom clown. Holly was the one who joked that it was real."

Dean then pulled a gun and cocked it. Sam grabbed at it, and pushed Dean's hands down. "Keep that down!"

"Oh, and get this. I mentioned Bunker Brother's Circus in '81 and their, uh, evil clown apocalypse? Guess what?"

"What?"

Holly leaned closer to Sam. "Before Mr. Cooper owned Cooper Carnival, he worked for Bunker Brothers. He was the lot manager for them."

Sam turned to face her. "So you think whatever the spirit's attached to, Cooper just brought it with him."

Dean nodded. "Something like that. I can't believe we keep talking about clowns."

A light turned on in the dining room and Sam shook Dean awake. The front door was opened and the little girl held out her hand before closing the door.

The siblings snuck inside the house and hid, weapons ready.

"Wanna see Mommy and Daddy?" The little girl asked. "They're upstairs."
