XCIV. (94) Paradise City

[Hammer of the Gods]

The Impala parked in front of the Elysian Fields Hotel at an angle.

The siblings ran through the storm into the hotel lobby. "Whew. Nice digs, for once. Busy night." Dean commented.

The front desk attendant, Chad, said, "Any port in a storm, I guess." He chuckled. "If you could just fill this out, please."

"Yeah."

"Sir, I think...Shaving nick there." He handed Dean a tissue. "Your key."

"Oh. Thanks. Hey, you wouldn't happen to have a coffee shop, would you?"

"Buffet. All you can eat. Best pie in the tri-state area."

Holly's eyes brightened as Dean said in a happy tone, "You don't say?"

Dean and Holly sampled the pie and Holly smiled, thoroughly enjoying the pie. "Heaven, right?" A man asked.

Dean scoffed while Holly rolled her eyes. "Trust me, pal...better." He saw a woman sitting alone. "How you doing?"

"No." The woman said bluntly.

"But--"

"No."

"Oh, lady, I'm just, you know--"

"I understand. And no."

Holly nodded. "Yeah. No means no."

Dean shot her a look. "10-4. Yeah." His cell phone beeped and he grunted. "Sam, unpucker, man. Eat something."

"We should hit the road, Dean, Holly."

Holly gestured to the door. "In this storm? Come on. It's--"

"It's Biblical. Exactly. I-it's friggin' Noah's ark out there, and we're eating pie."

Dean frowned. "How many hours of sleep did you get this week? What? Three? Four? Bobby's got his feelers out, okay? We have talked with every hoodoo man and woman in 12 states."

"Yeah, well, I'm not giving up."

"Nobody's giving up. Especially me or Holly. We're gonna find a way to beat the devil, okay? I can feel it. And we will find Cas, we'll find Adam. But you are no good to us burnt out."

"Yeah. Yeah, okay."

Holly sighed. "Come on, guys. We caught a break for once. We got the night off. I say we enjoy it."

They walked through the hallway and saw a couple making out in front of their room. Dean pointed and smiled.

Sam frowned. "Oh, what are you, 12?"

Dean scoffed. "I'm young at heart." The door creaked as it opened and he whistled. "Wow. Look at this. We're like Rockefellers. Chocolates! You want yours?"

"Knock yourself out."

Before Dean could grab it, Holly lunged across the bed and grabbed the other chocolate. She held it in her hands happily. Dean tried to grab it and she shook him off and curled into herself before standing up. "My chocolate. Word of advice; don't get between a girl and her chocolate. I thought you would have remembered."

Dean rolled his eyes before saying, "Whoa. 'Casa Erotica 13' on demand." Sam scoffed. "What?"

"Isn't this place...in the middle of nowhere?" Sam said.

"So?"

"So what's a four-star hotel doing on a no-star highway?"

A woman started moaning on the other side of the wall and a bed thumped. There were loud thuds and shakes.
