Bobby led the siblings down a set of steps outside the motel. "She's about four hours down the Interstate. Try to keep up." He got in his car.
"I assume you'll want to drive." Sam said, pulling the keys from his right pocket. He tossed them at Dean and he caught them.
Dean chuckled. "Oh, I almost forgot!" He walked over to the Impala and ran a loving hand across it. "Hey, sweetheart, did you miss me?"
He got in the driver's side and settled in. He noticed an iPod plugged into the stereo and paused, giving it a dirty look. Holly climbed in the back and Sam got into the passenger's seat with a smile.
Dean glared at Sam. "What the hell is that?"
"That's an iPod jack."
"You were supposed to take care of her, not douche her up."
"Dean, I thought it was my car."
Holly smirked. "Not anymore it's not."
Sam shot her a look while Dean sneered at his brother and turned the key. A pop sounding song started playing and Dean rolled his eyes before glaring at Sam with a pained look.
"Really?" Dean asked.
Sam gave an innocent shrug before ripping the iPod from the jack and tossing it in the backseat.
"Ow!" Holly retorted. "Watch where you're blindly throwing things, hotshot!"
"Sorry, princess." Dean apologized.
As Dean drove, he said, "There's still one thing that's bothering me."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah, the night that I bit it. Or...got bit." He chuckled. "How'd you make it out? I thought Lilith was going to kill you."
"Well, she tried. She couldn't. Holly wasn't so lucky."
"No, she wasn't. What do you mean, she couldn't?"
"She fired this, like, burning light at me and Holly, and...didn't leave a scratch. Like I was immune or something. Like I said, Holly got the short straw."
"Immune?"
"Yeah. I don't know who was more surprised, her or me. She left pretty fast after that."
Holly frowned. "Hmm. What about Ruby? Where's she?"
"Dead. For now."
Dean bit his lip before asking, "So you've been using your, uh, freaky ESP stuff?"
"No."
"You sure about that? Well, I mean, now that you've got...immunity, whatever the hell that is...just wondering what other kind of weirdo crap you've got going on."
"Nothing, Dean. Look, you and Holly didn't want me to go down that road, so I didn't go down that road. It was practically your dying wish."
"Yeah, well, let's keep it that way."
Holly pat Sam's shoulder. "Don't brood, Sammy."
He rolled his eyes and when they arrived at their location, they got out and knocked on the door.
The door opened to reveal a woman in her thirties with curly brown hair. "Bobby!" She hugged the older hunter, lifting him a little off the ground.
The siblings shared a look as Bobby said, "You're a sight for sore eyes."
The woman stepped back and looked the trio up and down appraisingly. "So, these the boys and the girl?"
"Sam, Dean, Holly. This is Pamela Barnes. Best damn psychic in the state."
