[Time After Time]

(Holly's outfit at the bottom)

A man in a fedora hat and long coat walked along a sidewalk in front of a house and turned down an alley along the side of the house. The siblings were in a parked car on the side of the house. The siblings were parked on the opposite side of the street. Nate had gone off to help another ally.

"Alright, let's do this." Dean said. "Move fast." He cocked his gun.

Sam frowned. "Wait, wait, wait. What's the plan exactly?"

"Don't die."

The siblings got out of the car and hurried after the man in the fedora. Holly spoke up. "He's heading downtown. Okay, Sam, you take the street. D and I will take the alley. We'll meet you in the middle."

Dean and Holly turned into an alleyway and saw Fedora Man kneeling over and holding the head of another man, who was lying on his back on the ground. There was a red light above the man's face.

Dean muttered, "Son of a..." He and Holly ran towards the men. The red light from the prone man was completely absorbed by Fedora Man. He let the prone man's head fall to the ground and stood up. Sam ran around the corner to see Dean and Holly tackle Fedora Man. The three of them disappeared in a flash of red and white light.

"Dean? Holly?"

Sam held his arms out in front of him as the force of the explosion reached him at the other end of the alley. The light disappeared and everything was still. Dean, Holly, and Fedora Man were gone.

"Dean?! Holly?!" Sam cried. If something happened to Holly, Nate would kill him.

Two Days Earlier

Dean was seated at a table with a glass of whiskey and laptop. Holly poured herself a glass half-full of whiskey. Dean was looking at websites about Dick Roman. A phone rang and Sam, who was asleep on the bed, sat up and groaned.

"Don't give us that dirty-diaper look. We ain't calling you."

Sam answered the phone. "Hello?"

"Sam, it's Jody Mills. I wake you?"

"The sheriff? Uh..." Sam turned on a lamp. "Yeah. Uh, I mean, uh--"

"Listen, I got something that smells like you boys and girl. A body turned up in Canton, Ohio. Local P.D.'s trying to bury the story and the body."

"Okay, um, so, uh, what's with the body?"

"Well, when it went missing, it was a perfectly normal grad student named Charles Durbin. When it turned up, the thing was mummified minus the wrapping. This is actually the second body found like this in the last couple weeks. Sound like a song you boys and your sister tap to?"

"Yeah, yeah, that's, that's um...that's our kind of number. Hey, question--how does a sheriff in Sioux Falls get wind of a case in Ohio?"

"I'm just that nosy. Nate also might have brought it to my attention. Look, after everything I've been through with you boys, girl, and...with Bobby, you know, something like this pops up on the wire, it catches my ear. What can I say?"

"Well, we'll look into it. Thanks, sheriff."

"Call me after, okay? Before Holly asks, Nate is okay. He's busy with Bobby's stuff."

"Yeah." Sam hung up. "That was Sheriff Mills. She caught us one. Holly, Nate's good."

Dean said sarcastically, "Oh, I feel bad. We didn't get her anything."
