THANK GOD ITS FRIDAY!!!! Dean said enthusiastically as they headed towards Mr. Anderson's gym class, they ducked into the locker room and nodded hi at the hardy brothers and Romans twin cousins.
I am so NOT going to miss going to gym class and then taking a cold shower and having to sprint to my next class so im not late. Seth said as he and Dean quickly changed into their gym clothes... "um, guys.... Matt Hardy said... "its Friday-- we have swimming starting today.."
Dean grumbled and rolled his eyes and he switched slowly from his gym clothes into his swim trunks. Seth groaned as he unlocked is locker and grabbed his trunks.. "he better not make me wear an ugly swim cap!" he said.
"why would he do that?" Dean asked "cause of my long hair" he replied he made cracks about it last year too. "we'll all be in the same boat then" Jeff Hardy said "you .me, matt, jimmy and jey" the bell rang everyone hurried into the gym except for Dean and Seth.. Dean stopped his friend and said "have you asked Becky to the dance yet?" Seth shook his head and tried to hide the fact that he was blushing.
"I can't do that.." he said I have a girlfriend, and Becky has a boyfriend back in Ireland waiting for her. "what they don't know won't hurt them" Dean said "that is a horrible thing to say! Seth said admonishing his annoying friend. "im not that kind of guy, and Becky isn't that kind of girl."
"AMBROSE!!!!!! ROLLINS!!!!!!!!!!!" Mr. Anderson's voice boomed-- "YOU BOYS ARE LATE TO MY CLASS.. BEFORE YOU HIT THE POOL YOU BOTH NEED TO DROP AND GIVE ME 20 PUSHUPS!!!" he growled as he hustled them into the gym.
"18....19...20 ok Rollins-- in the pool!" Mr Anderson said. Seth got in the pool and immediately made eye contact with Becky who was with her crew and giggling till she saw him. their eyes were locked on each other.
"come on ambrose!! while I am young!" Mr Anderson said as he counted the push ups.. 16...17................18.....19..............................................................................20!" now in the pool ambrose!!" he said gruffly
Dean jumped into the pool and splashed everyone around him, including Seth. Seth just shook his head and laughed as he wiped the water from his eyes. at the end of class , Mr Anderson informed the class that their final exam would count for a whopping 75 percent of their final grade. "you will be paired up in groups of two he said - one of you will play the part of a 'victim' the other will be the rescuer" both of you will ultimately end up playing both roles." he added.
"I will post the pairings on Monday" he said "so check the bulliten board before class starts" "oh and FYI" he said "all excuses will be verified, and if found to be lies, you will get an F and you will be taking a trip to Mr. Calloway's office.." he blew his whistle and dismissed the class.
Seth and dean hustled to the locker room to grab showers and get ready for their next classes - Dean had Mr Dibiase's accounting class, which he hated, and Seth had a study hall in the library with Mr. Patterson.
The rest of the day flew by and Seth was barely in the back door when his phone rang... he smiled when he saw the number it was his girlfriend Cassidy... he ran upstairs to his room nd closed the door as he answered the phone "hi baby girl" he said quietly "I miss you" he added.
"do you?" she said "I heard from a friend that she has seen you hanging out with that lucky charms mascot reject!" "Becky is nothing more than a friend" Seth assured her "we have several classes together" "you are the only girl for me." he said.
Cassidy wasn't listening at all as she continued to rant about Becky... " I will be cak in town in time form your senior prom, she informed him, and you ARE taking ME!" she said coldly... "We've been through this a million times" he reminded her. "I don't like dancing"
"besides that" he added "that is really expensive, and I don't have the extra money" he told her. "WHAT???!!!??!!!!" she screamed.. "what have been spending your paychecks from your after school job on......." "you've been spending it on the irish pop tart haven't you?!?!" she said.
"Cass" Seth said "you know I love you and would never hurt you" "between my gym membership, car payment, gas and wrestling school my checks are pretty much shot to hell." he told her.. " and with whats left" I am trying to save up for actual wrestling gear.
Seth could hear his mom hollering from downstairs that she needed his help putting the groceries away. "Cass, honey, I gotta go my mom needs my help with groceries, I can call you back after dinner" he said.
"call me around 8" she said "my homework will be done and i'll be able to talk more" "ok" said said. talk to you then. he hung up his phone and went to help his mom. once he was finished he went up to work on his homework.
his phone jolted him from his studies- it was Roman- "hey buddy wanna got to the gym?" "sure" seth said. "i'll swing by and get you in a few minutes" Seth said as he grabbed his gym bag and his car keys.
Roman and Seth enjoyed a nice long work out followed by a soak in the hot tub. they stopped for burgers and then Seth dropped Roman off at home. by the time he got back to his house and went up to his room it was after 8pm. he changed into a comfy t-shirt and his basketball shorts and kicked back to play his PlayStation 2. next thing he knew it was 1:45am! he shut down his PlayStation 2 and went to bed.
the incessant ringing of his phone woke him from his peaceful slumber at 7am. " hello" he mumbled sleepily "what the hell! you never called me last night-- you jerk!!" "cass?" he yawned its early yet, and you are jumping to conclusions" he told her as he rubbed his eyes.
"I was at the gym with roman and by the time I got back I was tired and forgot." yeah right... she scoffed "you were probably with that cloverleaf wearing floozy!" she said "that disgusting no good jezebel!"
"THAT'S IT!!" Seth said sitting up "Cassidy, you need to stop being so jealous!!! Becky and I are just friends, there is nothing going on between us!!" she hemmed and hawed and protested.. Seth finally got a word in edgewise and said "if you are going to be jealous of my friendship with becky, then I think maybe it would be better if we didn't see each other anymore."
