(AUTHOR'S NOTE: SEVERAL YEARS HAVE PASSED SINCE HIGH SCHOOL)
Seth, Roman and Dean were finally getting their BIG break in the wrestling business, They were wrestling on the main roster for the WWE. On his day off however, Seth had gone down to NXT to clear up some loose ends.
After finishing with his business, and seeing some friends he swung by the cafeteria for a bite to eat. as he sat eating lunch and trying to decide what to do with the rest of his day, a shadow darkened his table.. but, he didn't even look up. "excuse me?" a female voice with an accent said. "mind if I join you? its the only free spot in the whole room"
Seth took a drink of his diet coke and nodded never looking up, but, thinking the voice was for some reason familiar." he finally bit the bullet when she was eating and took a quick glance at her.. she was absolutely gorgeous!
she had long reddish brown hair and the most amazing brown eyes he had ever seen. "So.... tell me about yourself." he said. she got the giggles really bad as she sat down her water bottle.. "What's the matter Seth..... don't you recognize me lad?" his brown eyes widened
"Becky??!" he said totally stunned "what on earth are you doing here in NXT???" "I thought you went back to Ireland....."
"I did go back" she said "missed my friends like crazy though" she said. "my arse of a brother go me hooked on watching wrestling with him and then I went to see him train at school one day... and I was instantly hooked, and wanted to try it."
"its so good to see you" he told her "i'm sorry I didn't stay in touch better." he told her "I lost your phone number in a move" he said "and I am LOUSY at writing letters." he chuckled. the two of them talked for at least another 45 minutes.
"where are you staying?" he asked her "i'm sharing a place with charlotte flair" she told him. they had fun catching up and reminiscing .. but neither of them brought up the kiss from several years before.
"when you get to the main roster" he said "IF i'm still there, look me up and we can go grab coffee and lunch" he added with a smile.
"i'll keep that in mind" she said smiling at him.
"BECKS!!" A loud southern voice hollered "get your irish rear over here before lunch is over, we need to talk!!"
"I gotta go" Becky told seth through her giggles "Miss Charlotte's about to jump on me arse for talking to a lad and not eating my supper wit her." Seth laughed as the two friends shared a quick hug and parted ways.
that night, Seth couldn't stop thinking about becky... "she is more beautiful than I remember" he thought. the next night he told Roman and Dean that he had seen her down in NXT... "great.....another eye candy manager chick" Dean said.. "hope they don't stick her with us." he added.
"she's not training to be a manager he said.. she is training to be a wrestler" Roman was impressed with the news, and Dean said nothing... "i'll see you guys this weekend... I gotta go talk to Hunter." he said.
"everything ok?" roman said as seth grabbed his bags "yeah" seth told his friend.. "I just need some advice.
Seth walked down the long hallway and asked one of the agents where to find Hunter.. he pointed to the far end of the hall and said "he's in his office finishing up stuff from tonight's show"
"thanks man" he said. as he stopped in front of Hunter's office door, he got really nervous. he knocked on the door.
"ITS OPEN" Hunter said gruffly. Seth went in and closed the door behind him... can I talk to you a minute boss? Seth said. "whats on your mind kid?" hunter said with a chuckle as he reached for his water bottle
Seth spilled his guts to hunter telling him what had happened down in NXT and what had happened between them when they were 18.
"so, let me get this straight" Hunter said scratching his chin "you have a girlfriend that you have been with for a few years now, BUT you ran into a former high school classmate that kissed you when you were 18, and you feel confused because you got a funny feeling when you saw her like you did back then?"
"that's right" seth said. "listen to your heart" he told Seth. "whatever is meant to be will happen--but, only when its meant to happen."
