I'm pretty good thanks for asking. I'm sorry about the end of that last chapter, the cut off was so good I had to. Jazz Band is starting up soon and I'm really excited for that, any other band kids on here? If so what do you play? Anyways, hope you enjoy this chapter. You'll probably hate me for the ending of this chapter too. Alright...Enjoy!

Sure, he was being heavily supported by Elwin, but he was on his feet. He turned his head and saw the 3 of them enter, nearly making him lose what balance he had, but then he broke into a grin. 
"Surprise?" Sophie didn't answer. She just gave him a hug, trying not to tear up. "Why are you crying?" He teased after they pulled away. He was leaning on Sophie now, Elwin had moved to stand by Livvy.
"Only happy tears." She chuckled back. Fitz moved to Sophie's side, still smiling, and she could see the tears welling in his eyes too. "How long have you been...well..?" She asked, not quite sure how to phrase it.
"Elwin helped me stand yesterday, and today we managed to walk a few steps."
"Have you missed it?" Fitz chimed  in. 
"After being stuck in that bed for so long? Are you joking? Yeah I missed it. But they won't let me do much." Tam gestured towards Elwin and Livvy, both of which shrugged.
"Guilty." Livvy smiled.
"When are you going to tell the others?" Fitz asked. 
"I'm not sure. I was thinking to have everyone come by when I can walk without someone else carrying most of my weight. Sorry, by the way."
"Not at all." Sophie responded, barely noticing the extra weight. 
"So...could you guys not mention it to the others? If they ask just say I'm doing a lot better, but I want to be the one to tell them. Or rather show them. Can you do that for me?" Sophie and Fitz exchanged a look, and then nodded. "Thanks."
"How long do you think it'll take until you show them?" Everyone looked to Elwin after Fitz's question.
"At the rate he's progressing, I'd say about 3 days. But don't hold me to that. It fully depends on you," He added, looking directly at Tam. "Speaking of, you should really sit back down. You'll wear yourself out." Tam turned back towards Sophie and rolled his eyes, but let her lead him back to his cot nonetheless. She sat next to him and noticed how pale he was starting to look. 
"We should probably head out." Sophie stood from the cot and walked back over to Fitz. "We'll see you in a few days." Livvy gave her a single nod and a smile silently showing that she did the right thing. 
"See you then." Tam agreed, a hint of eagerness in his tone. Sophie led Fitz out the door, seeing Tam lay down as they left. She shut the door behind them and started walking, but not towards the exit.
