I'm sorry I havent updated in a while! I've had a lot of stuff to do recently like an art competition (if you want me to show you the pic for it let me know) and some things around the house. Summer break just started for me, so I should be able to post more soon. Enough jibber-jabber, enjoy this chapter! (Its probably one of my favorite because of how cute Fitz is)

Fitz, she transmitted
"Yes?" His mental voice timidly responded.
I found something that proved me right, so I have to do something else before we try my idea. It might feel odd, so just trust me okay?
"Always." With that she found a thred, and followed it to the nook of his mind. Once safely tucked in the nook Sophie began to inflict the emotion she thought would counteract guilt. Innocence. To feel free and not carry the burden of fault on your shoulders. When she felt that she had done enough she reluctantly left the nook in Fitz's mind to check, and every fracture that once existed disappeared. When she pulled herself back to reality Fitz was watching her, while looking very perplexed.
"What?" She asked, feeling her cheeks turn pink.
"Nothing, but did you just inflict on me?" He responded, and she gave him a slow nod. "That makes sense then."
"What makes sense?"
"Why I had the weird sensation that I wasn’t in control of my emotions." She opened her mouth to apologize but Fitz cut her off. "Don't apologize, it didn't feel...bad. Just unusual. So now will you tell me this idea of yours?"
"Sure. I think we should let each other see our memories. I wanna know exactly what happened when I went out, and something tells me you want to know what happened when Linh and I found Tam."
"...Okay. But why did you need to check my mind beforehand?"
" I was worried that seeing him like that would make you feel more guilty, so I made sure that you were not in any danger of breaking. Do you want to go first? Or should I?"
"Ummm, how about you first. " That settled it. Sophie, still holding Fitz's hand, plunged back into Fitz's mind.
Are you ready?
"I think so." His mind responded, then everything around her swirled. Once it cleared the memory began, and Sophie sucked in a breath. Fitz does not have a photographic memory, but this was a perfectly clear memory, like one out of her or Keefe's mind. That only happens for people with memories like Fitz's when it makes them feel an extreme amount of a certain emotion.
Sophie? His mind sent out a plea for her, but she couldn't hear him. Something was crashing into her, but he could not tell what it was from her blocking him. Then it stopped. His consciousness was thrown out of Tam's mind just in time to catch Sophie from collapsing onto the ground. He wrapped his arms around her, feeling a slight tug in the back of his head. Letting himself follow the pull, Fitz found himself back in Tam's mind, watching her consciousness fall into the vat of darkness.
SOPHIE! His mind screamed as he raced after her. He barely caught up to her and latched onto her thoughts as tight as possible. Hoping he was strong enough to pull her back with him he heaved his way up out of the darkness and back to reality.
"What's going on?" He asked as Elwin struggled by Tam's cot.
"Tam is seizing," Elwin yelled in response. Then he reached over to a nearby table, keeping one arm pinned on Tam's trashing shoulders, and grabbed two orange crystal vials. He effortlessly tossed one over as Fitz caught it with just as much ease. "Once she comes too, give her that." He added while pouring the contents of his vial into Tam’s mouth, causing the seizing to stop almost instantly.
"What is it?" Fitz demanded as Elwin took a step back from Tam's cot.
" A sedative." Elwin answered in a defeated tone. Fitz started shaking his head, hard.
"No." He argued.
"Fitz..." Elwin sighed. "She needs to let herself take a break, we both know that if she is conscious she won't let that happen. Trust me: I don't want to either. But we have to take this decision out of her hands." Moments after he had come to a decision she started to stir in Fitz's arms.
