I'll try (highlight the word TRY) to be more consistent with uploads, but sorry again. I kinda love this chapter, hope you do too! Enjoy!

When Sophie carried the news with her into the dining room there was a lot of joyful faces and noises spreading across the room. Her small army of bodyguards, who left her at night and returned in the morning, fought over who of them would accompany the group to Foxfire to greet Tam for the first time in months. After many arguments the final choice was Sandor, and they wasted no time leaving to see their friend.
As soon as they leaped onto the school's beautiful property they darted to Elwin who gladly greeted them at the door, smiles ablazing. It took only seconds before they were outside the Healing Center, fighting over who should see Tam first. Linh had a reserved spot since she was his twin and all, but the other two spots (Elwin limited them only to 3 people at a time) were a battle. They finally agreed on the group who had gone to visit him the first time; Sophie, Fitz, and Linh.
Elwin entered first to inform Tam that he had guests and as soon as he opened the door Linh bolted inside, Sophie and Fitz close behind. Tam was still in the same cot as he was a week ago, but this time he was propped up by pillows, with his eyes wide open. He still had bandages surrounding his chest, and his arms were marked with the leftover of the wound. The huge gash that was over his eye was still there, and the viatem was still hanging from a chain around his neck, but he was awake. Sophie could not help but grin from ear to ear. She walked up to the end of his cot, Fitz not far away. Linh was already by his side, hugging her brother so tight it looked like it hurt. After Linh finally relaxed her grip and backed away Sophie got a look at her slightly angsty friend, and her smile grew so much it started to hurt. Most of the color was returned to his face and his bruises were just memories. A few cuts were on the mend of being healed, but the gash over his right eye was still very much there.
"Hey Sophie." He smirked, clearly not caring about the slight hoarseness to his voice. "Hi Fitz. How have you guys been?"
"We've been making it." Fitz answered, now right beside Sophie. "How long have you been awake?"
"Not long, Livvy called Sophie almost instantly. After she and Elwin calmed me down that is." Tam smirked at Elwin and Sophie turned her head to face him, wearing a surprised face. Elwin smiled back and nodded.
"He was very confused when he first came back." Elwin chuckled. "Once we finally got him to relax he asked about how Linh and you guys were doing." A slight giggle came from the doorway to one of the other sections of the Healing Center where Livvy was standing.
"Wait, I have a quick question." Sophie admitted, turning back to Tam. "Out of curiosity: Have you seen yourself since you got back?" Tam seemed to be taken aback by the question, and a hint of masked panic trickled into Elwin's eyes.
"No…. I haven't." Everyone suddenly became very interested with various points in the room. "That bad huh?"
"Not...necessarily." Fitz reassured. "Is there anything you can tell is gonna be different?" The question made Tam shudder.
"I know I probably have a mark on my face." He answered sheepishly. "And that the rest of me is covered in scars and bruises. Other then that I have no clue." He inhaled sharply. "Do I really want to know?" Elwin was chewing his lip so hard it looked like it hurt, so Livvy chimed in for him.
"We can grab you a mirror if you want to see, but it is up to you." She shrugged.
"I.." Tam sighed, a long drawn-out sigh. "Is it bad I don't want to know? Not yet anyway. I mean, If I look like Keefe I might not want to know."
"Whenever you're ready. Speaking of ready, are you up for some more guests?" Livvy was already making her way to the door when Tam nodded. She needed only to pull it open and the others came rushing in, Biana leading the pack. Sophie and Fitz slipped up against a wall to avoid the stampeding friends. As soon as he could catch a full glimpse of Biana seemed like the smile on Tam's face multiplied tenfold.
"Did you get enough beautyrest bangs boy?" Keefe teased. Everyone seemed to have an instant scowl pop up on their face, and seeing as she was the closest to him Sophie decided it would be best to give his shins a not-so-light kick. "Sorry, not the time?" Biana was about to lash back out at him, but Tam cut her off.
"I don't mind." Tam chuckled in response. "Really, it's nice to see someone isn't making a big deal of this."
"But it is a big deal." Sophie was surprised to recognize the voice as Wylie's. "What? It is. We all know what it's like to almost… truthfully to almost die at the hands of the Neverseen. You may not want to except it:" Wylie added, crossing his arms and interrupting Tam from speaking whatever thought had formed in his mind. " But if Sophie and Linh had been any later, we would not have been so lucky. Sorry, I don't mean to darken the mood anymore then it already is; but this is not a game to them." All eyes were now on Wylie, and he looked slightly embarrassed. He sighed and crossed the room, leaving the Healing Center in only a few strides.
