_____________________________________________"Awwww. I ship it!" Called a voice nearby. Sophie begrudgingly opened her eyes and squinted as the sunlight burned her corneas. She looked up to see Biana standing by the end of the bed with a dopey grin.
"Oh come on Biana, leave them alone!" Marella called from somewhere across the room, and Sophie silently agreed. She was actually feeling safe for once, why can’t she just enjoy it while it lasts? She closed her eyes again and scooted slightly closer to him, enjoying the warmth. Sophie heard a sigh followed by receding footsteps, she opened one eye and smiled to herself when she didn’t see Biana looming over them. As much as she wanted to stay curled up next to him all day, and she definitely could’ve, she knew they should probably get up.
"Fitz," She whispered, trying to wake him up gently. "Hey, Fitz. We need to get up, okay?" He made a sound that resembled a sigh, then slowly opened his eyes. A smile spread across his face when he met her gaze.
"Good Morning." He still seemed groggy with sleep, but that didn’t make his smile any less genuine. She smiled back and blushed a deeper red then she thought she ever had before.
"Morning." She responded, blushing even more. If that was even possible.
"Any more nightmares?" His eyebrows furrowed together in concern, however slightly, and she couldn’t help but realize how adorable he was when he did that. No, she didn’t like him worrying about her, but she couldn’t deny that it was cute.
"No." She was being fully honest too, after he had come in she had slept perfectly. "Thanks." He flashed his perfect smile at her again, and butterflies filled her chest.
"Anytime." He promised, and she could’ve been lost in that moment forever. She would’ve too, if it weren't for Biana squealing from across the room.
"Sorry!" She called, making her way over to them. "You two are just too adorable." She was smiling so widely it seemed like it hurt, and Sophie just sighed at her. Fitz let out a small chuckle and gave Sophie one more hug, before getting up and making his way down to the boys’ room. Sophie slowly got out of bed and went to her closet, grabbing out a simple pair of pants and blue tunic.
"Biana," She said as she made her way to her bathroom. "You might be worse then Tarina." She closed the door behind her and began changing, hearing a gasp soon after the door was closed.
"TARINA SHIPS YOU GUYS TOO!?!" Biana squealed, and Sophie could imagine how wide her smiled must be. Sophie just chuckled to herself and ran a comb through her hair, trying to get it slightly under control. When she stepped outside she saw Linh and Biana whispering and giggling in the corner about who knows what. Marella was leaning against a wall near the bathroom door, shaking her head at the other two girls.
"What are they on about?" Sophie asked. Marella sighed in response.
"Something about boys." She rolled her eyes, and to be honest it kind of surprised Sophie. Usually Marella wanted to know everything about everyone, but for once she was wasn’t trying to get in on the juicy gossip. "Hey! Earth to the fangirls!" She called, surprisingly enough Linh and Biana actually responded to the nickname and turned to face her. "Shouldn’t we head downstairs?" The two in the corner made their way over, blush warming their cheeks.
The four made their way downstairs and saw the boys waiting for them in the dining room. But before taking her seat Sophie peeled off to the side and grabbed her imparter inside her pocket. After she knew she was out of earshot, she pulled out the silver disk.
"Show me Elwin." She said, and soon the image of him and his constantly messed up hair flash up on the screen."Hey Elwin." She smiled. "Is Tam ready to show the others his, progress, today?" She asked, even though she knew the others couldn’t hear her, she didn’t want to say walking. Who knows, maybe Biana vanished and followed her when she didn’t come to the table.
"I think so," Elwim’s grin was the brightest Sophie had seen him wear in a long time, and it lifted a slight weight off her shoulders. "Come by whenever you guys are ready, just send me a message before you do. I’m sure Tam will want a heads up."
"No problem." She glanced over her shoulder in the direction of the others. "I should probably go. See you soon."
"Can’t wait." His image turned black along with the screen when he hung up, and Sophie placed the imparter back into her pocket before going back to the dining room.
The others eyed her suspiciously as she took the open seat next to Fitz. On the table in front of them were bowls of what looked like neon orange oatmeal, with sliced strawberries on top. Sophie joined her friends that had already begun eating and shoveled a huge spoonful into her mouth, smiling when she recognized the taste. It looked and tasted like oatmeal with brown sugar and strawberries, and wow was it good.
"Ok, I can’t be the only one wanting to know. What were you doing when you stepped away?" Keefe asked, with bits of oatmeal on his chin. Sophie simply used one of his signature moves against him, and gave an all-knowing smirk in his direction.
"You’ll see," She answered. Keefe pouted in response and finally realized the food on his chin. But instead of wiping it up like a normal person he decided to try to lick it off. One problem: He couldn’t quite lick his chin with his tongue. So truthfully he put on quite a show, everyone was laughing by the time he finally managed to get the food off of him. After he did so he pumped his fists into the air in victory before giving an over-dramatic bow.
You were talking about seeing Tam, weren’t you? Fitz transmitted while they were clearing the table
How did you know? Sophie raised one eyebrow at him, trying to conceal her blush at the same time.
I just know you. His transmission somehow took on a teasing tone, and it made her giggle. By the way, I have something to tell you later. She wanted to ask what it was, and just as she was going to Keefe cut her off.
"What have I said about secret telepathic conversations you two?" Keefe said."I can only assume you are flirting, especially considering Foster’s blush and the HUGE wave of emotions she’s hitting me with right now." Sophie and Fitz shared a look, then she rolled her eyes at Keefe.
"Follow me." She told to group, then led them outside.
