"Hey, you okay Fitz?" She asked, moving her open arm to steady him after he started swaying.
"Yeah. I'm fine." He lied. They took a few more steps and he stumbled back, Sophie catching him before he fell. She kept her hand wrapped around his waist as they lowered to the ground and sat together.
"Sure, completely fine." She rolled her eyes, but it didn't take away from her concern. She moved the hand that was around is waist up and rubbed his back. "Breathe, alright? Just breathe." She said softly when she realized he wasn't at the moment. He slowly relaxed, and it helped her calm down too. "What's wrong?"
"I'm not sure, I thought I'd be fine. But I guess I was more tired than I thought." He offered her a gentle smile and she put a hand up to his check, glad when he leaned into it.
"Why didn't you tell me? I would have waited while you rested."
"It hit me pretty fast, I didn't think I was this drained until, well, until this happened." He kept wincing and breathing surprisingly heavily, she eventually reached up and felt his forehead.
"Fitz, you feel kinda warm." She couldn't help the minor bit of surprise in her voice.
"I'm okay." He promised, but she could tell it wasn't true. Fitz started to stand, but if Sophie hadn't been there he would have fell to the ground. While they were standing together she noticed he was shaking. She glanced around, glad to realize the hallway was familiar. She moved his arm around her shoulders so she could better support him and decided where to go from there.
"We're not far from our old telepathy room, so how about we head there and get some rest." It was formatted as a question, but it was said as a statement. There was no way of arguing.
"No, let's get home." Fitz countered, his speech loose as if he was drunk. But he didn't fight back, she didn't think he even had the energy.
"You're in no condition to light leap Fitz, alright? So let's just go sit and relax until you're even a little bit better." This time he didn't disagree with her, they just kept walking. Less walking, more so stumbling. After what felt like a million years they finally made it to the telepathy classroom, everyone was off school so it was untouched from the last time they were there. As soon as they walked through the door Sophie went straight to the chairs, and set Fitz down as soon as possible. "Stay here, and don't even think about getting up. I'll be right back."
