She waited for him to nod in agreement before taking off towards the teachers lounge they’d found when they were recovering from the Neverseen’s shadow flux atack. She grabbed a gallon of water from the pantry and a cup, then made her way back towards him. Thoughts of worry filled her head as was walking through the halls as quickly as possible, but she tried to push them out of her head. She knew that worry would get them nowhere.
As soon as she got back she poured him a cup of water and he downed it faster than she'd even seen anyone chug before. Before she knew it he had drank the entire gallon.
"Well, you're not shaking as hard, so that's something." She smiled and moved her hand from his shoulder to his hand while sitting in the chair next to him. "Do you feel any different?"
"Yeah, I feel a bit better. Thanks." He smiled, resting his head back and giving her hand an assuring squeeze.
"That's good. Get some sleep, it'll help." He answered with a tiny nod. Not long after, his grip relaxed and he started giving a subtle snore. She reached over and brushed his cheek, then felt herself relax as well. Before she knew it, she was asleep too, still holding his hand.
