Kevin's P.O.V.
"Kevin! Will you come play with us?!" Nick yelled while running up to me. We were having a day off at the beach. Our parents thought we they would treat us with a day out to the beach. Frankie was playing with the sand, building little sand castles. Mom is reading a book and dad is slowly dropping his head every once in a while. Clearly he's going to fall asleep soon.

Joe, Nick and Pippa are playing soccer, but it's Nick and Joe against Pippa. She can't play that well, in the eyes of Joe, because he claims she is a girl. And girls can't play soccer.

On the contrary, Pippa is fairly all right, but she misses a bit of technique. Also, it's two of them against her on her own. Which is probably why Nick wanted me to join before Joe starts to play dirty.

"Yes, I'll play with you." I get up and leave my towel with mom and dad.

I run over to where they created a 'field' with shoes as goals.

Pippa and I were doing all right against Joe and Nick. We can get a tie if Pippa and I get the next one.

But we're not so lucky. Nick gets to take a shot and he shoots. To be honest, I don't know if it was in or not. The shoes don't reach high and I think it might have been a centimeter.

Joe and Nick start to cheer. They won this round. "It wasn't a goal! It was out!" Pippa starts yelling at them. "No it wasn't! It was an obvious goal! We won! You just can't take that you lost!" Joe made a loser-L sign on his forehead towards her. That is not going to end well.

Pippa charges at him, knocking him to the ground. Nick and I immediately respond by trying to pull them apart. Pippa can't really start something against him while he is pulling her hair. She screams it out in pain.

While I'm still trying to pull Joe off of her, I see dad march over from the corner of my eyes. "Get off of each other right this instant!" He yelled at them.

As if a startshot for a marathon has gone off, they sprung apart. Joe's head bumped against Nick's head, or more precisely his nose.

"What is going on here? Talk." He says. "Just some simple sibling rivalry." Joe tries to play it off. "What I saw was not sibling rivalry." He looks stern at us. "Pippa? Care to explain?" Pippa had looked at the ground, not daring to look up at dad.

"It was nothing, dad." She softly says. Dad gives us all a look. "Don't do this again or we'll be on our way home straight away." Dad says. "Yes, dad." We chorus.

Dad is not really strict with us. Neither is our mom. They support us in every way, but we have to be polite. That's how we've been raised. Especially in the sibling relationships. Family will always be connected with you. Whether we like it or not, this is our family and we have to respect each other. We cannot fight with them.

And if we do fight, we'll have to solve it. We don't have enough time in our lifetimes to get worked up with each other and have stupid fights over a goal that was or was not a goal.

"Kids, come down! Dinner is ready!" Mom yells once again from downstairs. We all come running from our rooms and push each other out of the way to get to the table the first.

"How many times do I have to tell you not to run down the stairs? And how many times have I told you not to push each other? It's going to go wrong one day. Behave yourselves for once." Mom scolds us, knowing exactly what we've done.

This was the day before something happened.

"Kids, dinner is done!" Mom yells from downstairs as she does almost every day. We walk from our rooms. "Last one down is a turtle!" Joe says. He pushes Nick out of the way and runs towards the stairs. Nick is not one to let that slide so he runs after Joe. I try to stop him from being stupid, but he slips from my fingers.

He runs after Joe, who in his turn slips one the stairs and tumbles down. "JOE!" I run down the stairs to his aid. He lies at the bottom of the stairs. "Joe? Are you awake?" I start to shake him. Mom and dad come running from the kitchen. "Joe? What happened?" Dad yells as mom panics.

"He slipped and fell down the stairs." I explain dad. I make room for him to check Joe. I shield Nick from seeing Joe and take him and Frankie into the living room. He looked so bad.

I place both Nick and Frankie on the couch and make them stay there. I walk back to where the others are. Joe seems to have regained consciousness. "We're taking you to the hospital, Joe." He looks a little out of it.

"Kevin. Get the boys and take your sister to the car as well."

He'd broken his arm and was quite delusional from the fall and the pain in his left arm, which is the arm he broke.

"You're cheating!" Joe yells at Nick. The four of us are playing a game. Pippa is in a team with me and Joe and Nick are by themselves. Nick is quite smart and currently winning. I don't care about winning or losing. Neither does Pippa. She doesn't like it if the rules aren't followed, but other than that she is quite cool with games. Joe isn't.

"I'm not cheating! You rolled the dices and are on my property. Pay up!" Nick holds out his hand to get his money. "I'm not paying you." He gives Nick his chair a push, making Nick fall of the chair. "I hate you!" Nick pushes back. "I hate you too." Pippa jumps as Joe pushes over the board, making the pieces on the board get thrown against her and the ground.

"WHAT IS GOING ON IN HERE?" Dad walks into the kitchen. "You four clean this up right now. I don't want to see a piece left on the floor when your mother gets back from picking up Frankie at his friends' house. Is that understood?" We all nod and clean up the mess.

But not before Joe accidentally bumps into Nick, making all the gathered pieces fall back on the ground.
