An eerie silence came over the battle as everyone stared at the strange sight of Mama Frigga in an evening gown holding Mjolnir. Not only holding the hammer, but wielding it as if she knew what she was doing.

It was yet another reminder that the Asgardians were a warrior race. If even their gentle healer queen knew how to handle a weapon, even a weapon as impressive as the famed Mjolnir.

The moment was broken predictably, by Thor. He took a deep breath at the sight of his mama and bellowed: "YAAAAAAAS!"

The entire room flew into movement. Loki sprang for Frigga, who swung Mjolnir to retaliate. Loki would forgive her for whatever damage she did to him. He would never forgive himself for hurting her or turning her. The scientists fretted uselessly around the edge of the room and you ran straight for Thor. Someone tried to stop you, of course, but you shoved past them, using your enhanced strength and speed to get by. These people were only scientists, not warriors, and you were easily able to get past them. You knelt beside Thor's chair and worked to unbind him so he could help with the battle.

You saw a glimpse out of the corner of your eye and turned your attention to the fight. Frigga was in mid-swing, having dodged Loki's lunge and swung the hammer hard, hitting him in one of his forelegs and throwing him across the room.

He came up snarling and you worked harder on freeing Thor. The assholes had bound him pretty heavily to the sturdy chair and you were having a hard time freeing him.

You looked quickly to Loki and saw that his eyes were an impossibly icy blue. They reminded you of the white walkers from Game of Thrones. That icy blue sparked a memory and you tried to concentrate on it while you worked on Thor's bonds. The memory finally came to you. It was something Loki had said about when he was under the control of the mind stone previously. You had watched the Avenger's movie together and he told you about the scepter's powers and what it had been like to be under its control.

It clicked then.

He had also told you how he'd been snapped out of the scepter's control.

"Quickly, Y/N," Thor begged, hating to see his mother and brother fighting while he was helpless to do anything about it. Especially as he knew Loki was being mind controlled and would never actually do anything to harm Frigga.

And the guilt would kill him if anything did happen to his precious mama.

You got back to work on his bonds, your thought had vanished for the moment. You had to finish your task. The scientists were moving in, thinking you a weak target. You grabbed a chair leg from nearby and smashed is across one of the scientist's faces, snarling at the rest to stay back.

You finally got Thor freed and he jumped up to head into the battle, even without his hammer. He was a perfectly capable warrior. Though you saw him fight not to summon it away from his mother. He wouldn't deny her a weapon to protect herself with, even if it was his weapon.

You turned with your makeshift table-leg weapon back to the battle and the thought from earlier finally reappeared in your brain where it was useful instead of hopping off again like a scared rabbit.

"Head!" You called to Frigga, finally remembering how Loki had said he'd been freed the first time from the scepter's hold. Cognitive recalibration. Namely in the form of being Hulk-smashed. "Hit him in the head!"

You watched Frigga hesitate and curse. She could defend herself against the wolf, but she couldn't bear to truly hurt her son.

Thor, however, didn't have such qualms. "Mother!" he called, holding out his hand for the hammer as Loki was recovering for another lunge.

You trusted that Thor knew what to do. You had your own task to attend to. Loki would need you once Thor broke through the mind control. You ripped off your makeshift dress and quickly shifted back to wolf form. You waited at the edge of the battle for your moment.

Frigga tossed Thor his hammer and you saw the pain in her eyes. Thor gave Loki an apologetic look. "I am truly, sorry, brother," he said with sorrow in his eyes and voice. He shifted his grip on his hammer and hit Loki hard in the head with it when Loki next lunged for Frigga.

Loki yelped and made a pitiful sound as he went crashing into the wall. You ran over to check on him and howl the song of healing. He whined and whimpered and blinked his eyes clear. They turned back to a normal wolf-amber before they turned green again. Loki was fully in control and fully back to himself.

You looked over to Thor and barked a reassurance that Loki was ok. At least he would be. Thor nodded and he and Frigga stood back to back, Thor using his lightning and Frigga using her magic to take down the rest of the enemies.

You were going to be alright. Nothing could take down two Norse gods.
