Jimin took a deep breath as they exited the restaurant. "Ah.... it smells nice here."

"Yes, it sure is," Eun-hye agreed. "But that's not why we're here, is it?"

The man flashed his daughter-in-law a grin. "You are a smart woman, Eun-hye, and you're also a kind person."

"Thanks," Eun-hye said blushing. "You're a great dad, and Alex is lucky to have you both. Everyone can see how you adore each other."

"Ah... our love is hard-fought, Eun-hye," Jimin declared. "It's not earned without sacrifice."

"I understand, Dad," Eun-hye replied. "Even to be together with Alex, I had to fight with my dad."

"About that, I need to ask you for a favor," Jimin said as he looked Eun-hye. "Please don't mention anything about your father."

"What.... what do you mean? Do... do you know my father?" the woman questioned as she searched Jimin's eyes for answers.

"Vaguely," Jimin replied. "But if you want to be part of our family, I think it is best that he isn't coming to the wedding."

Eun-hye looked perplexed as she couldn't imagine why Uncle Jimin would suggest such a thing.

"If you love Alex, it is better if you do not talk about Jeon," Jimin asserted.

"Do you... or did you have a problem with my dad?" Eun-hye asked, not satisfied with the answer she heard.

"No... not really," Jimin responded. "Let's just say we don't get along with his family."

"Oh, I see," Eun-hye said. "Are you sure it's not just a misunderstanding?"

"Misunderstanding? Hah!" Jimin scoffed. "By the way, how's the cold war with your grandma going? Making any progress?"

"Ah... no, no," Eun-hye admitted. "I get what you're saying. She could be really stubborn."

"Stubborn is not the word I would use to describe her," Jimin contradicted.

Eun-hye nodded. "I'm sorry, Dad. I am sure you have your reasons."

"Trust me, Eun-hye," Jimin implored. "We're all better off not knowing."
