"Are you cheating on Dad?" Alex shouted as soon as he entered his parents' room.
"What on earth are you talking about?" Taehyung asked, bewildered at his son's sudden proclamation.
"Exactly what I'm asking. Are you having an affair with Uncle Jeon?"
When Alex overheard his wife's conversation with his father, he was beyond livid. He couldn't believe all three of them were hiding something from him. But the biggest offender, he deemed, was the man in front of him now.
"God no!" Taehyung answered. "What person in their right mind would find me, a cripple, sexy?"
"It's no time for jokes, Papa."
"But I swear I'm not doing anything wrong."
"So where have you been going, during your trips lately? I called your office, and they said that they try not to send you out on business travel because it would be inconvenient."
"What? Are they looking down on me because I'm disabled?"
"Don't change the subject, Papa. Are you or are you not meeting up with Eun-hye's father? Answer me."
The truth would eventually come out, and Taehyung had no choice but to admit it.
"Yes, I met him a few times, but we were mostly talking about Taemin."
"If that's the case, Papa, then why you didn't tell us?"
"Would Eun-hye let me? Would you let me?"
"Maybe not," Alex conceded. "Still, you shouldn't go there behind our backs."
"Why? What's so wrong with Jeon Jung-kook that no one is allowed to see him? Is he a criminal? Did he kill anybody? If so, why did we even attend the funeral!?"
"That's enough you two," Jimin interrupted when he heard the shouting coming from the room.
"But Dad!" Alex protested. "Papa lied to us! He's been secretly meeting up with Mr. Jeon!"
Tears fell from Eun-hye's eyes. "How could you, Papa? Aren't we sufficient for you? Why would you hide something like that from us?"
Taehyung spoke after a brief silence. "I'm actually going to ask you both the same thing."
